| As the wave of Mandarin fever gradually spreads around the world,more foreigners are eager to read and learn Chinese to understand China’s history,culture and society as a whole,so as to further penetrate into the Chinese social community.catchwords,which can visually reflect the characteristics of the times to the greatest extent,have shown their powerful social communicative role in many fields.According to relevant studies,the average age of overseas Chinese learners may have reached 50% and is showing a rapid development,and this age group is also the interval in which catchwords are widely spread and used.Therefore,effective teaching of catchwords can better help cultivate international students with good Chinese communication skills.Due to the geographical proximity and the eastern transmission of Chinese characters,language and cultural exchanges between China and Japan have a long and increasingly frequent history.Therefore,the vocabularies of the two countries have many similarities,which brings advantages to native Japanese learners and also has great interference.In this paper,we investigate the trend of catchwords in both countries by scientifically classifying and comparing the top ten catchwords of the year selected by authoritative magazines in both countries.This paper will try to explore more relevant and effective teaching strategies for teaching Chinese catchwords to native Japanese speakers,taking into account the differences between Chinese and Japanese catchwords from a cross-cultural perspective.At the same time,it also provides some insights into the teaching of nationalized Chinese vocabulary,including catchwords.This paper is divided into six chapters:The first is the introductory part of the paper,which clearly defines the significance of the topic and research,and gives a general overview and summary of some current research results,as well as describes the research content and theoretical approach of the paper.The second chapter gives an overview of the definition of Chinese and Japanese catchwords,and analyzes and discusses the reasons for selecting the top ten catchwords of the year from the magazine "Excessive Wording" and the Japanese magazine "Fundamentals of Modern Language" as the research subjects and the social attention.The third chapter specifically examines the 100 annual catchwords selected by the two magazines in the past 10 years,and classifies and summarizes them in terms of their source composition,structural characteristics,semantic characteristics and social fields to which they belong,and summarizes their results.The fourth chapter summarizes the similarities and differences between the catchwords of the two countries through the classification and analysis results in Chapter 3,and explores the causes of the differences.The fifth chapter explores the current situation of teaching Chinese catchwords and summarizes the teaching suggestions and methods for the acquisition of Chinese catchwords by native Japanese speakers,taking into account the results of the first three chapters.The sixth chapter is the conclusion,which summarizes the research and analysis of this paper as a whole and points out the shortcomings of this paper. |
