With the development of globalization,the communication between countries is becoming more and more frequent.In the process of communication among different civilizations,some obstacles will inevitably appear due to historical,cultural,religious and other reasons.The exchanges between China and the Arabia countries are in the same situation.In this context,it is particularly important to eliminate doubts and misunderstandings in communication,and how to remove the obstacles differences need the support of cross-cultural theory.Taboo culture has a history of thousands of years,and it is constantly changing with the development of the times,but its function and influence are unabated and still plays an important role in the cultural exchanges in various countries.Knowing the taboo culture or not directly affects the effect of intercultural communication.This paper regards the taboos between Chinese cultural and Arabia national cultural as the research object,to find out the similarities and differences between them,and analysis of the causes of the differences.The author puts forward some suggestions for the spread and development of Chinese in Arabia countries in the perspective of cross-cultural cognition.This paper is divided into four chapters.The introduction part interprets the background and significance of the research,and also introduce the theory and research status of taboos.In addition,the comparative study of taboos and teaching the taboo knowledge in the process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language are also explained.The first chapter introduces the related situation and compares the language and non language taboos in intercultural communication between China and Arab countries.The second chapter carries on the investigation of the taboo cognition situation,and know well the taboo cognition degree of the people involved in the cross-culture process.The survey is designed in the aspect of having the consciousness of taboo or not,the cognition degree,the application of it and the approaches to receive it.The third chapter is the analysis of the problems and causes of the taboos in China and Arabic.Through the investigation and statistics in the second chapter,we find the problems and analyze them from the perspective of Chinese teachers and Arabia Chinese learners respectively.The fourth chapter puts forward some suggestions on how to improve the cognitive ability of China and Arabic taboos,so as to promote the spread and development of Chinese teaching in Arabia countries.The description and analysis of the similarities and differences between Chinese and Arab taboos are the core of this article.The second chapter designs the questionnaire from a cognitive perspective,examining the cognition of taboos of each other’s country,this is the innovation of this paper;the third and fourth chapter are the reason analysis and some corresponding suggestions,these suggestions will be useful for the contacts and Chinese teaching between China and Arab countries.
