2011 version of "primary school English curriculum standard" puts emphasis on the primary school curriculum teaching goals.It means to inspire students’ English study interest,to encourage students to use English in daily life and form a solid foundation for further English study.The situational teaching method can effectively stimulate students’ interest in learning English and meet the requirements of the new curriculum standard.However,the concept of situational teaching for first-line primary school English teachers is still unclear,and there are also misunderstandings in the actual application of specific classrooms,which is not conducive to the improvement of teaching efficiency and the completion of teaching objectives.Based on this,the author adopts the literature research method,the questionnaire survey method and the observation method,and investigates the application status of the situational teaching method in the primary school English classroom and analyzes the survey data and cases to find out the problems and causes,and then optimize the implementation.The countermeasures of situational teaching can effectively improve classroom efficiency.This thesis is divided into six parts.The introduction part describes the reasons for this topic,the current situation of domestic and international research,the significance of the topic and research methods.The first part is an overview of the situational teaching of primary school English,including the definition of the concept,the theoretical basis of the study and the characteristics of primary school English situational teaching.The second part investigates and analyses the present situation of English teaching in primary schools.The third part points out the existing problems and analyzes the reasons for these problems.The fourth part is combined with my teaching practice and it discusses the strategies of the situational teaching method in primary schools.The fifth part is the conclusion,which analyzes the shortcomings of this thesis,and puts forward the future research prospects.Based on the theoretical basis of situational teaching,this thesis analyzes the current situation of the application of situational teaching in primary school English classroom,and tries to optimize the implementation of situational teaching.It is hoped that this research can become the theoretical learning and applications for the first-line primary school English teachers. |
