| With the rapid development of Chinese teaching in the world, more and more Chinese teachers go to all over the world to teach language and culture. The internationalization of Chinese teaching means that teachers’ teaching practice needs to face the challenges brought by the differences of teaching environment in different countries and regions. At present, teachers’ cross-cultural adaptation in overseas teaching environment is one of the most urgent problems in the internationalization of Chinese teaching, which is very important to promote the healthy, stable and sustainable development of Chinese teaching in the world. At present, the number of Confucius Institutes in the UK takes the first place in Europe. In addition, the British Council of culture and education selects Chinese teaching assistants to teach in the UK through the joint efforts of Hanban(now Center for Language Education and Cooperation). Therefore,Chinese language teaching in the UK occupies an important position in the global Chinese language teaching.Every year, many Chinese teachers carry out language and culture teaching in English. However,up to now, there is a lack of research on teaching adaptation. The teaching activities of teachers of Chinese as a foreign language are carried out in the overseas teaching environment, which is the biggest difference from that of domestic teachers of Chinese as a foreign language. To study teachers’ overseas teaching adaptation,it is necessary to examine and analyze the teaching environment. Therefore, based on the analysis of the relevant education documents in Wales, through the panoramic analysis of social environment, educational environment and classroom environment, this study finds out the characteristics of educational culture in the teaching environment of the Confucius Institute of University of Wales Trinity Saint David(UWTSD Confucius Institute). In this paper, through questionnaires and interviews to obtain the research data of teachers’ cross-cultural adaptation in teaching, and further combined with the concrete cases in Teachers’ work, the cross-cultural adaptation of teachers in Welsh Chinese teaching is analyzed.Through a series of measures to establish cooperative training mode,Chinese teachers can adapt to the education system of overseas countries, and effectively prevent and solve the problem of cross-cultural teaching adaptation. It is found that Chinese teachers in UWTSD Confucius Institute have different degrees of cultural shock in the process of teaching adaptation. The main reasons for cultural shock are the differences between Chinese and English educational concepts and teachers’ unclear role orientation. Therefore,in the practice of Chinese teaching, teachers should adapt to the local Chinese learners’ education methods, close to the local teaching habits, and adapt to the requirements of the new teaching environment,so as to promote the smooth development of Chinese teaching. The innovation of this study: through research and analysis,it is proposed that international Chinese teachers should dynamically build a "Trinity" adaptation model in the process of overseas teaching. It is hoped that this study will be helpful to Chinese teachers who will teach in the UK in the future, improve their work efficiency and teaching quality while teaching in the UK,and provide new ideas for Chinese teachers at home and abroad,as well as Hanban(now CLEC),so as to promote Chinese teaching activities more effectively in the international scope. |
