The teaching of Function word has always been important and difficult in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of other Language.Prepositions are important in the Chinese grammar system.This paper takes the prepositional frame of "Zai(在)" which represents the meaning of time and space as the object of investigation.It is planned to use the BBC Corpus and HSK Corpus to collect corpus and analyze the cause of errors from the perspective of time and space metaphor,the subjective perspective of learners,and the objective perspective of learning environment.What’s more,the paper will put forward some teaching suggestions.This paper is divided into six chapters:The first chapter is the introduction,focusing on the reasons for the topic selection,a summary of the research status,research purposes and significance,research methods and research content.The second chapter takes the "Zai(在)" structure corpus that appears in the BBC Corpus as the research object,and examines the preposition frame of the "Zai(在)" that represents the meaning of time and space from the perspectives of syntax and semantics.The third chapter mainly classifies and summarizes the corpus of the preposition frame of "Zai(在)" used by Chinese learners whose mother tongue is English in the HSK Corpus from three aspects: only expressing spatial meaning,only expressing time meaning,and simultaneously expressing space and time meaning.On the basis of analysis,we summarize the error types of the prepositional frame of "Zai(在)",such as wrong order,lost,wrong addition,and wrong replace.The fourth chapter analyzes the reasons for errors in the use of the preposition frame of "Zai(在)" from the perspective of Space-time metaphor,the subjective perspective of the learner,and the objective perspective of the learning environment.The fifth chapter proposes the teaching strategy of the preposition frame of "Zai(在)" from three aspects:interpretation method,image schema method and comparative analysis method,so as to realize the diversification of teaching methods regarding the type of error and the reason for the error.The sixth chapter s the conclusion part.Mainly summarize the full text,and explain the innovations and deficiencies in the research process.This article uses a variety of methods to analyze the errors of Chinese learners whose mother tongue is English in acquiring and using the prepositional frame of "Zai(在)",trying to analyze the biases from the perspective of time and space metaphor,the subjective perspective of learners,and the objective perspective of learning environment.The reason for the error is to put forward the teaching suggestions of interpretation method,image schema method,and stage teaching method,and achieve the purpose of interdisciplinary research with the help of relevant theoretical knowledge of cognitive linguistics.
