| Lingala is the national language of Congo, and the majority of Congolese are native speakers of Lingala or another national language. With the growing popularity of Chinese, people all over the world are learning Chinese, including Congolese. In any foreign language, phonetics is the basis for the mastering of a language. As cooperation between Congo and China deepens on various fields, economic and cultural exchanges between the two countries are increasing, and more and more native speakers of lingala are coming to China to learn Chinese.Chinese and lingala belong to different language families,Chinese belongs to the Sino-Tibetan family and Lingala to the Bantu group, and the differences between the two languages are enormous. Therefore, the study of the relationship between Lingala and Chinese and the difficulties that native speakers of lingala have in learning chinese are of a great importance in the study of Chinese language acquisition and development. The textbooks used by learners of Chinese in the Congo are all from China, and most of those textbooks use English or French to explain the Chinese, and most studies on the acquisition and teaching of the Chinese Phonetics to foreign students are aimed at students with English or French backgrounds. In this research paper, our main work is presented as follow: firstly,we have introduced the phonological system of Lingala and the phonological systems of Chinese, then we have compared and analysed in details, the Chinese and Lingala consonants and vowels systems. And then,we have conducted the Chinese Phonetic test with the native speakers of Lingala as the target group,to present the real situation of the learning of Chinese Phonetics by the native speakers of Lingala in the actual Phonetic survey so as to confirm the predicted difficulties. Finally, based on the above study,we analysed the basic situation on the learning of Chinese phonetics among native speakers of Lingala in Congo, and proposed targeted teaching principles and methods. We hope that this research paper will improve the further study of Chinese as a second language and contribute to the teaching and acquisition of Chinese to native speakers of Lingala. |
