Letter writing has always been a difficult point in teaching Chinese as a foreign language,and it is the key content that international students in advanced stage contact and investigate.In the Chinese Proficiency Standards and Grammar Level Outline,the Chinese writing level of international students is required,that is,international students should be able to write simple practical writing in the middle and advanced stage,including the request for leave,ordinary letters and cover letters.Compared with the teaching of pronunciation,vocabulary,grammar,reading,etc.,letter writing is a certain difficulty in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.How to write letters is the weak point of most Korean students studying in HSK level 6.It is very important to strengthen the study of letter writing,whether it is to improve their Chinese proficiency and test scores.The letter samples selected in this study are 12 "A Cover Letter" and 219 "A Letter to Parents" from the HSK dynamic composition corpus(since this study is aimed at Korean students in HSK level 6,all the samples are above C level).Compared with previous studies,this paper supplements the format of letters and divides the errors more carefully in the text.The first part of this paper analyzes the importance of letter writing in teaching Chinese as a foreign language and for Korean students at the level of HSK 6.The second part focuses on the analysis of 12 "A Cover Letter" written by Korean students in HSK dynamic composition corpus.The errors in the format and text content of219 articles of A Letter to Parents in the five basic text elements of title,salutation,greeting,salutation,signature and date,as well as the errors in the text of letters written by Korean students at the level of HSK 6,are mainly discussed from three parts: language,punctuation and discourse coherence.In the third part,according to the types of errors,the causes of errors are summarized,including language transfer factors,teaching factors,students themselves and teaching materials factors.The language transfer factors are analyzed in detail from four aspects: interference of target language knowledge,negative transfer of mother tongue knowledge,language distance factors,culture and habit factors.In the fourth part,according to the above statistical analysis of the main causes of errors and the author’s teaching suggestions,respectively "a Letter for a job" and "a letter to parents" teaching design;Finally,the author puts forward corresponding suggestions from four aspects: teaching ideas,teaching methods,teachers’ teaching and textbooks.Teaching ideas should pay attention to the introduction,sorting out different letter writing format,language;The teaching methods can adopt task-based teaching method,labeling method,comparative analysis method and situational teaching method.Teachers teaching to strengthen the letter contrast teaching,flexible use of a variety of teaching methods,using the combination of point,line and surface,pay attention to simple but high error rate of basic knowledge;In terms of teaching materials,we should adhere to the principle of combining universality and particularity,write in a professional and scientific vision and way,and pay attention to the combination of teaching and practice in the design of teaching materials.
