| Zhu Yingdeng(1477-1527),also known as Mr.Ling Xi,was born in Baoying,Yangzhou.He was a famous litterateur in Hongzhi and Zhengde periods of the Ming Dynasty.He was known as the ’Jinling Four’ with Gu Lin,Chen Yi and Wang Wei,and also known as the ’Ten Talents ’ with Li Mengyang and He Jingming.Zhu Yingdeng ’s poems and proses are both fresh and handsome in the Six Dynasties and simple and vigorous in the Han,Wei and Tang Dynasties.The existing poems and proses are mainly found in Collected Works of Mr.Ling Xi,and a total of 524 poems and proses are included in the collection.These poems have various themes and rich contents,showing Zhu Yingdeng ’s ideological changes,life and friendship in an all-round way.They also involve the political,ideological and military aspects of the Ming Dynasty,and have high historical value.Therefore,the chronology of Zhu Yingdeng ’s poems and proses can not only carefully outline the transformation process of Zhu Yingdeng ’s style and thought,further promote the study of Zhu Yingdeng,but also have important value and significance for the study of Ming Dynasty history.The chronology of Zhu Yingdeng’s poems and proses are based on the Ming Jiajing block-printed edition Collected Works ofM r.Ling Xi included in The Listed Title Series of The Si Ku Quan Shu.It also includes lost poems and proses outside the collection,and conducts research on the main events in Zhu Yingdeng’s life.A total of 292 poems and proses were found to have been created. |
