A Study Of Engels’ Moral Criticism

The formation of Engels’ moral criticism was based on the formation and maturation of his moral outlook.This paper first examines the process of establishing Engels’ people’s position and materialistic view of history,and the formation of his moral and critical thoughts against the backdrop of the rapid development of capitalism and the widespread control of religious morality over people’s thinking.In the process of theoretical study and realistic practice,Engels’ worldview and values matured from naivety to rationality,and Engels’ moral and critical thoughts also awakened and became scientific under the influence of the social environment,and eventually Engels established the proletarian position and materialistic view of history,formed a scientific Marxist moral outlook,and began to carry out moral critique.Secondly,we focus on the textual study of Engels’ moral critique related discourses,and summarise and refine the practical principles and ways and means of Engels’ moral critique.Engels’ moral critique ideas are formed in scientific research methods and concrete practical processes,and it is in the in-depth combination of theory and practice that the whole process of Engels’ moral critique is produced.By exploring and studying Engels’ adherence to practical principles and the organic combination of various methodologies,we can gain a deeper understanding of Engels’ moral-critical thought and appreciate the profundity and rigour of Engels’ moral criticism.Once again,the objects of Engels’ moral criticism are summarised as feudal religious morality and capitalist morality,and Engels’ conception of future communist morality is summarised.Engels’ moral critique is to specify the essence of morality and the revolutionary task for the proletariat,i.e.the proletariat must eliminate the material basis of society that underpins this ideology through practical means and revolutionary methods,and must completely eradicate it through proletarian revolutionary practice.It is necessary to combine the two in a dynamic and holistic study.Morality is the root of a nation’s survival and the foundation of every individual in society.At present,China attaches great importance to the construction of a core socialist value system and the construction of core socialist values,of which the importance of moral values is self-evident.Engels’ moral critique is based on the proletarian position and the materialistic view of history,and is an important element of the Marxist view of morality.The study of Engels’ moral critique will play a scientific guiding role for the construction of morality in China.A general study of Engels’ moral criticism is an enrichment and development of Marxist moral outlook and moral criticism theory,which will help provide theoretical support and practical guidance for China’s moral criticism in the new era and strengthen the enlightening and guiding significance of morality for social development and national construction.
