| Color words are language expressions of color concepts,used to describe the color attributes of things,including basic color words and ordinary color words.As a special category of vocabulary in international Chinese language teaching,color words are closely related to Chinese culture and contain rich cultural connotations.Based on this,this article focuses on international students whose native language is English,and conducts research on the teaching of basic color words in international Chinese from a cross-cultural perspective.Firstly,a comparative analysis is conducted on the meanings,expression characteristics,and cultural extensions of the basic color words "red","white","yellow","green",and "black" in Chinese and English,in order to identify similarities and differences and construct the theoretical basis of this article.Secondly,two aspects of research will be conducted.Firstly,through theoretical explanation and comparative analysis,a questionnaire survey will be conducted on international students whose native language is English and who have passed the Chinese Proficiency Test(HSK)Level 4 to understand their basic acquisition of Chinese color words and conduct error analysis;The second is to conduct research on the content arrangement of color words in international Chinese teaching materials,mainly focusing on the comprehensive series of textbooks "Developing Chinese",and propose corresponding arrangement suggestions.Finally,based on the above research,suggestions are given for the teaching of international Chinese color words: the ways to carry out cultural teaching practice activities should be diversified,such as introducing game activities,visiting historical museums or specific festivals,role-playing,etc;Teachers should pay attention to explaining the cultural meaning of color words,strengthen the flexibility of teaching activities,and pay attention to cultural taboos.Through these teaching practices and activities,international students can be motivated to attend classes,avoid communication barriers,and fully understand the Chinese cultural connotations contained in color words. |
