| Writing is the key to cultivate students’ ability of using language.At present,there are still some problems in high school students’ English writing ability,such as empty writing content,poor logical thinking and unable to express ideas accurately and coherently.These problems have seriously affected students’ motivation and interest in English learning.Therefore,in order to effectively improve students’ English writing ability and increase their enthusiasm for English writing,the author tries to combine content teaching method with high school English writing teaching practice,explore the operable and replicable content teaching method applied to high school English writing teaching model,and improve the traditional English writing teaching model.Improve high school students’ English writing ability effectively.Based on the above research purposes,this paper focuses on three research questions:(1)How to construct a specific English writing teaching model under the content approach in high school English writing teaching and apply it to teaching practice?(2)Is the application of the English writing teaching model under the content approach to high school English writing teaching helpful to improve students’ writing attitude and enthusiasm?(3)Is the application of the content-based English writing teaching model to high school English writing teaching helpful to improve students’ English writing ability? In order to answer the above questions,based on the input hypothesis,output hypothesis and interaction theory,this paper takes 70 students from two classes of senior three in a high school in H City as the research objects,and adopts three research methods: experiment method,observation method and interview method to carry out a research on the application of content teaching method in high school English writing teaching.At the end of the experiment,the author drew the following conclusions by comparing and analyzing the classroom observation results,test results and interview results before and after the experiment:(1)The English writing teaching model under the content teaching method of "three paragraphs,four steps and ten links" was constructed and applied in the teaching of English writing in high school.(2)After English writing teaching under content teaching,students improve their attitude towards English writing and their enthusiasm in English writing.(3)Students improve their English writing ability through content teaching.This study also draws the following teaching inspirations and suggestions:(1)English writing teaching under the content approach should combine language and content.(2)English writing teaching under the content approach should choose meaningful topics.(3)The teaching of English writing under the content approach should be student-centered.(4)The English writing teaching under the content approach emphasizes the preparation before writing. |
