Chinese Audiovisual and Oral Courses plays an important role in international Chinese teaching.Unlike other courses,it mainly uses video content as a carrier,combining language knowledge with real scenes,and is a comprehensive language practice course that integrates "seeing,listening,and speaking.".The particularity of this class type can easily lead teachers to transform language skills classes into video appreciation classes,resulting in an imbalance between input and output in classroom teaching,resulting in low classroom participation and low learning enthusiasm of students.The core concept of the production-oriented approach is "Learning-using Integrated Principle",which emphasizes balancing the relationship between input and output,improving students’ low classroom speaking rate,and improving classroom teaching effectiveness.In order to give full play to the role of the production-oriented approach and improve the teaching effect of intermediate Chinese audiovisual and oral classes,this article will conduct research and discussion on the relevant issues of the application of the production-oriented approach to intermediate Chinese audiovisual and oral classes.Based on a thorough understanding of the teaching concepts,teaching assumptions,and teaching processes of the production-oriented approach,the author analyzed the advantages of applying it to intermediate Chinese audiovisual and oral classes,and found that the production-oriented approach helps to balance the relationship between input and output in classroom teaching;Helping to improve learners’ willingness to express;It helps to promote the cultivation of learners’ abilities and stimulate learners’ emotional experiences.In order to further demonstrate the operability of the production-oriented approach in intermediate Chinese audiovisual and oral courses,the author selected the Hobbies and Family sections in the intermediate Chinese audiovisual and oral textbook Microlens of China(Volume I)as examples,and analyzed the teaching objectives,teaching media,teaching principles,teaching methods,output task setting,and adaptation of input materials,Instructional design and practice are carried out according to the three links of the production-oriented approach: "drive facilitate evaluate".Finally,based on classroom observation and student feedback,the advantages and disadvantages of this instructional design are reflected,and several suggestions are proposed for international Chinese teachers to conduct intermediate Chinese audiovisual and oral teaching based on the production-oriented approach.This study can not only enrich the research results of applying the output oriented approach to international Chinese teaching,provide new ideas for intermediate Chinese audio-visual and oral teaching,but also enrich the forms of Chinese classroom teaching and improve the teaching effect of intermediate Chinese audio-visual and oral teaching.I hope this article can provide some suggestions for international Chinese teachers for reference,and make a modest contribution to Chinese classroom teaching.
