Since the birth of movies,movie posters have come into being.Like a mirror,movie posters have witnessed the development of movies and the changing times.What’ s more,they have also experienced the renewal of creation of ideas,aesthetic concepts,artistic techniques and technical means.With the gradual improvement of people’ s demand for movie-watching and the wide application of new media,people are also full of higher expectations for design of movie posters.The early movie posters which are static and simply synthesized can no longer meet the cognitive and aesthetic requirements of the audience,while the dynamic and digital illustrated movie posters are more and more popular and recognized among people.By analyzing the difference and connection between pre-screening(premiere)posters and post-screening(re-screening)posters,static(synthesized)posters and dynamic(illustrated)posters,this thesis demonstrates the necessity and feasibility of re-design and re-spread for movie posters.With thematic movie posters as the design object and dynamic digital illustrations as the form of expression,this thesis studies and practices to explore more possibility and reality for the re-design of movie posters so as to form a design strategy and plan which are full of constructive and demonstrative value for thematic movie posters.The content production,transformation of consumption and creation mode and design and spread of posters are all very Chinese characteristics for thematic movie,which has been stamped with spirit of the times and mainstream value.The term “thematic movie” was first proposed in 1987 by Teng Jinxian,then director of the Film Bureau of the Ministry of Radio,Film and Television.He insisted that movie creation should “highlight the theme and adhere to diversity”.Prior to this,in 1979,Deng Xiaoping said“all propaganda about the truth,goodness and beauty is the theme” at the literature and art work conference.In 2013,General Secretary Xi Jinping put forward the principle of “carrying forward the theme and spreading positive energy” at National Conference on Publicity and Ideological Work.These discussions have further sublimated the connotation and extension of the thematic movie,and pointed out the general direction for thematic movie creation and poster design."Content is king,and form is gold".“dynamic digital illustration” can inject infinite vitality into the re-design of thematic movie posters,and also promote the thematic movie to achieve the optimal spread of social mainstream ideology and values.This thesis adopts literature review,case analysis,practical design and other methods.Firstly,through the study of the history of Chinese movie posters,the application of dynamic digital illustration,the occurrence and development of thematic movie posters and the types and forms of thematic movie posters,select the representative and typical thematic movies as the design object.Secondly,from perspective of the macro design concept and micro design work,study and determine the re-design ideas and strategies of the thematic movie posters.Finally,in view of the deficiencies and innovation of the thematic movie poster design,constantly deepen the theoretical research results of the thematic movie poster re-design based on dynamic digital illustration.In the benign interaction between theoretical research and practical design,explore the diversified re-design of thematic movie posters based on dynamic digital illustration. |
