The Chinese translations of Buddhist scriptures in the Middle Ages have a wide range of content and a huge number, they have unique advantages in dating research, personal language research and language diachronic research. They are important historical materials for Chinese history research. As an important translator in the Western Jin Dynasty,Zhu Fahu translated more than 100 scriptures and left many important Buddhist scriptures for later generations. The "Pu Yao Jing 普曜经" has a clear era and oral language. It has a clear record of the Tang Dynasty’s different translation" Fang Guang Da Zhuang Yan Jing方广大庄严经",which can be compared. From the Western Jin Dynasty to the Tang Dynasty, the language differences in the two different translations can reflect some characteristics of times and the development trajectory of vocabulary. At the same time, they can also play a role in the exploration of the translation style and the explanation of words. This paper is divided into four chapters. The chapter 1 "Introduction" expounds the research value, research content, research object, research status and research method.Paper introduces the era, translators and other basic information. Both texts belong to the same biographical system, the Sanskrit text Lalitavistara. The chapter 2 "New lexical phenomena in Pu Yao Jing 普曜经" mainly explores the new lexical phenomena and set out to explore the way of generating new ingredients. Most of the new words are produced by synonymous juxtaposition;the new meanings of old words are generated by extension,part-of-speech transformation and morphological recombination. The chapter 3 "The Differences and Causes of Vocabulary in Different Translations同经异译" explores the lexical differences and causes between the different translations through text comparison, and is divided into two parts:"language evolution" and"translation style".Language evolution including the development of disyllabic words, the replacement of synonyms, and the generation of new forms.Translation style including the selection of semantic terms, the selection of synonyms, and the selection of Chinese and Buddhist terms. The chapter 4 "Interpretation of Words" interprets some words that are not included in the "Chinese Great Dictionary" and have not yet been confirmed.Uses dictionaries materials, cases, and different texts to determine the meaning of words or provide supplementary explanations for the semantic items of words. The "Conclusion" sorts out the research in each chapter, summarizes the research focus of the article, and points out the shortcomings. This paper mainly takes the two translations of "Pu Yao Jing 普曜经" and "Fang Guang Da Zhuang Yan Jing 方广大庄严经" as the research objects, attempting to explore the new quality of words, compare the differences of words, and explain words. It shows some phenomena, reasons, and rules in the process of language development. However, the corpus used is limited, and the individual cases are limited. To draw a more comprehensive and systematic conclusion, more extensive and in-depth research is required.
