Family Fiction Creation By Women Writers Since The New Century

After experiencing the prosperity and brilliance of the 1990 s,Chinese female literature has a new turn in the new century.Among them,the writing of family history forms a unique landscape.Using the family as the starting point,female writers have written about different stages of Chinese history,and have carried out transcendent thinking about the fate of mankind,and their creations have presented an open atmosphere.In order to analyze the different attempts of female writers in the new century to narrate family history,this paper selects Tie Ning’s clumsy flower,Wang Anyi’s Tianxiang and Chi Zijian’s right bank of Erguna River as the main research objects.The reasons for choosing these three works are as follows:First,family novels have a history of hundreds of years in China.Due to their long form,writers have enough space to write the history of the times and complex family events.Benhua,Tianxiang and the right bank of Erguna River are all family historical novels,so they have rich content and themes and have high analytical value."Stupid Flower" tells the history of nearly 50 years from the late Qing Dynasty to the end of the war of resistance against Japan.It radiates social and historical changes from the rural areas in northern Hebei to the daily life of the family,and provides a spiritual home for mankind at present.Tianxiang shows the nearly 70 year history of Shanghai in the late Ming Dynasty.Through the rise and fall of the Shen family,it shows the rich cultural connotation and vigorous vitality behind the artifacts.The right bank of Erguna River reproduces the century old historical process of ethnic minority families in border areas,shows the relationship between man and nature from an ecological perspective,and reflects on human civilization.Second,these three works show women writers’ grasp of grand history and various possibilities of historical narration.Tie Ning,Wang Anyi and Chi Zijian are all important writers in the history of contemporary literature.They began to write in the 1980 s and 1990 s.The writing of family and history has always been an important content of their creation.Based on long-term reserves and thinking,their creation shows a broader vision in the new century.By analyzing their changes in family history writing,we can see the development process of female writers’ creation from point to area.Thirdly,these three works represent three types of family narrative,namely "the speech of family and country history","the breakthrough of traditional intergenerational writing" and "the thinking of social problems from the perspective of ecology",which reflect the characteristics of female writers’ creation in the new century:in terms of narrative mode,they break through the intergenerational pedigree based on blood;In terms of narrative perspective,it has gradually formed a "super gender" vision and looked at history with an objective and neutral attitude.Through the analysis of these three representative works,it can be found that female writers began to walk out of the narrow self world,extend their strokes to history and face the broader real world.In addition,the creation of female writers has an idealized color.They treat gender relations peacefully,try to surpass history,focus on the whole human world,and find the power to stabilize the people’s hearts from the praise of truth,goodness and beauty.However,the creation of female writers in the new century also has certain limitations.For example,too much daily writing may damage the authenticity and integrity of history,and the romantic ending and gentle writing style will also weaken the strength of criticism.
