Chinese listening and speaking course is an significant course to foster students’ listening and speaking skill.However,in the post-epidemic era,online teaching has become a common form and its limitations are gradually emerging.TPRS is a kind of language teaching method to achieve fluent use of target language by telling stories and repeating questions.In recent years,TPRS has been more and more used in international Chinese teaching.However,the form of oral storytelling is abstract,which will affect students’ understanding and learning interest.This paper noted that the popular short videos in recent years may make up for this deficiency with their vivid and interesting characteristics.In order to make up for the deficiency of TPRS and improve the teaching effect of online Chinese listening and speaking course,this paper combines TPRS with short videos to explore the feasibility and specific teaching scheme about applying“TPRS+short videos” mode to online elementary Chinese listening and speaking course.This paper is made up of six chapters,chapter one is the introduction,which mainly introduces the research background and significance,research overview and research techniques.Chapter two specifically introduces the basic concept and teaching steps of“TPRS+short videos” mode,and clarifies the theoretical basis of this teaching mode.Chapter three analyzes the feasibility of applying “TPRS+ short videos” mode to online elementary Chinese listening and speaking course from two aspects: the comprehensive advantages of this mode in elementary Chinese listening and speaking course and the optimization effect of this mode on online Chinese listening and speaking course.Chapter four conducts a questionnaire to students and teachers according to the application of“TPRS+short videos” mode in elementary Chinese listening and speaking course,and analyzes students’ receptivity of this mode and teachers’ attitude to this mode.Chapter five carries on the concrete teaching design based on “TPRS+short videos” mode,and carries on the teaching design summary and reflection.Chapter six summarizes this paper and puts forward some questions and thoughts.The result of this paper shows that students have a high receptivity of “TPRS+short videos” mode,and this teaching mode fits with the nature of elementary Chinese listening and speaking course.“TPRS+short videos” mode is suitable for application and popularization in online elementary Chinese listening and speaking course. |
