This thesis chooses the Pipa works which present the musical elements of Chinese opera from 1978 to 2018 as research object,and chooses the presentation of the musical elements in Chinese opera as the starting point,with specific music examples.This thesis is divided into four chapters.Chapter One combs the development of the composing of Pipa works combined with musical elements in Chinese opera,expounding the status of music in Chinese opera,the historical origin and relationship of Pipa and Chinese opera,as well as the development and changes in the selection of the works and genre.Chapter Two starts from two perspectives.The first one is the composing with the musical elements in the music of Chinese opera,and the other one is the composing with the musical elements presented by the simulation timbre of Pipa techniques.This chapter analyzes how the musical elements of the music of Chinese opera are presented with specific musical examples.Chapter Three summarizes and presents the composing characteristics of the Pipa works with the elements of Chinese opera from the perspectives of elements in material selection,composing techniques,genre of the works and stage performance,based on the analysis and research from Chapter Two.Chapter Four consists of the inspiration and significance of the combination of Pipa and the music of Chinese opera in composing.Chinese opera and Pipa are both symbols of Chinese traditional culture and music.The integration of the two in composing is conducive to their collaborative development which plays a positive role in promoting and inheriting Chinese traditional music and culture.In recent years,in the composing of new Pipa works,the phenomenon of absorbing the musical elements in Chinese opera into composing has made new development on the original basis.This thesis focuses on Pipa,as the carrier of the statement of the language of Chinese opera,and the presentation of the musical elements of Chinese opera,which is also a question that must be sorted out and studied in performing and composing Pipa works with the theme of Chinese opera. |
