| All of the introduction of the PIPA instrument and its development in China are closely related to Buddhism.There are many studies on Buddhism in the PIPA,but little attention has been paid to the fusion of the PIPA and the elements of Buddhist music.This article focuses on the intersection of Buddhist music and PIPA art,explain the historical relationship between the two and their roles and effects on each other.The two pieces of “Pu An incantation” and “White Horse Sutra” were selected for specific analysis.Both songs have a lot in common about the elements of Buddhist music.Except emotions,there are also many things in common,such as musicality,more techniques for imitating wooden fish and other instruments,has obvious functionality and so on.The two pieces contain many philosophical thoughts of Buddhist music,such as their inclusiveness,let nature take its course,understanding the nature of self,valuing the power of the world,and understanding of the “he”.In the course of history,from “Pu An incantation” to “White Horse Sutra”,their background and heritage,the development of their playing skills,and changes of their spiritual,the articles are all ideologically explanatory. |
