Objective:To investigate the effect of early enteral nutrition on septic shock. Methods:A total of 79 patients with septic shock admitted to the Intensive Care Department of Shanxi Bethune Hospital from January 2019 to June 2022 were collected.According to the ESICM clinical practice guidelines, early enteral nutrition was defined as the initiation of enteral nutrition within 48 hours.Patients were divided into experimental group(early enteral nutrition group)and control group(delayed enteral nutrition group).Heparin-binding protein, procalcitonin, liver and kidney function, coagulation function,SOFA score, white blood cell count, neutrophil count, mechanical ventilation duration,ICU stay,28-day mortality were compared between the two groups.Quantitative variables to normality test(Shapiro-Wilk inspection),obey the normal distribution of measurement data using mean±standard deviation(x±S)statistical description, the comparison between the two independent samples t test group; The measurement data disobedient to normal distribution were statistically described by median and quartile distance, and compared between groups by two-sample rank sum test.Counting data were compared between groups by testing. The repeated measurement data were analyzed by repeated measurement variance analysis to compare the differences between different time points. The test level was set as α=0.05 in this study. Results:SOFA score difference [(5.03 ± 3.57)and(2.38 ± 4.26)],PCT difference [21.01(13.22,31.75)and 14.03(5.03,39.00)],TBIL difference between early enteral nutrition group and delayed enteral nutrition group [3.90(1.20,16.40)and 1.90(-16.78,17.93)],length of stay in ICU [10.00(8.00,19.00)and 8.50(6.00,15.00)],28-day survival rate [28(90.3%)and 33(68.8%)],white blood cell count at 7 days of admission [10.64±5.95 and 14.45±4.75],neutropulocyte count at 8.89±5.72 and 11.67±4.74],and white blood cell count at 14 days of admission [8.95±3.5] 8 and 11.22±2.95],neutrophil count[6.14±3.22 and 9.40±2.73],the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),early enteral nutrition treatment can improve the degree of infection and organ injury in septic shock patients, reduce the length of ICU stay and improve clinical outcome. Conclusion:Early enteral nutrition can improve the survival rate of septic shock patients and has a better early prognosis.
