Research On The Medication Patterns Of Constipation Treatment In Previous Dynasties Based On The "Dictionary Of Traditional Chinese Medicine Prescriptions"

Purpose :by using the Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance Assistance Platform(V2.50)software and SPSS27 statistical software,we analyzed the prescriptions used by medical practitioners in the "Dictionary of Traditional Chinese Medicine Prescriptions" for treating constipation from the frequency of drug use,four qi,five flavors,meridian tropism,and medication patterns,providing new theoretical basis and reference for clinical treatment and medication of constipation.Material and method:Search for formulas that mainly treat constipation in the "Dictionary of Traditional Chinese Medicine Prescriptions",and input the collected formulas into the software of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance Assistance Platform.Analyze the frequency of drug use,four qi,five flavors,meridian tropism,and formula formation patterns of traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions for treating constipation through statistical reporting systems and data analysis systems.Then use SPSS27 statistical software to perform cluster analysis and factor analysis on the drugs used by traditional Chinese medicine practitioners to treat constipation,and finally summarize and summarize them.Results:1.Results of medication patterns for treating constipation over the agesCluster analysis results:(1)Gardenia jasminoides,Forsythia suspensa,Scutellaria baicalensis,Coptis chinensis,Phellodendron amurense,Rhubarb,Glauber’s salt,Glycyrrhiza uralensis;(2)Fructus Aurantii,Orange Peel,Xiangfu,Muxiang,Betel Nut,Green Peel,Plum Kernel,Morning Glory;(3)Angelica sinensis,Rehmannia glutinosa,safflower,peach kernel,Cistanche deserticola,Ox knee;(4)Pine kernel,cypress kernel,hemp kernel,almond,Gualou,Ophiopogon japonicus.According to the statistical results of medication patterns,the top 5drug combinations with highest frequency were: rhubarb and Fructus Aurantii;Huoma Ren,Zhishi;Danggui,Huoma Ren;Rhubarb,hemp seed;Rhubarb,woody fragrance.Among them,there are four representative new formulas:(1)Almond,Fructus Aurantii,Huoma Ren,Muxiang,Betel Nut,and Yuli Ren;(2)Rehmannia glutinosa,cistanche deserticola,rhubarb,ass hide glue;(3)Aconite,cinnamon,dried ginger,and processed ginger;(4)Forsythia suspensa,Scutellaria baicalensis,talcum,mint,gardenia,phellodendron,gypsum.2.Results of medication patterns for treating constipation during the Han and Song dynasties Factor analysis results:(1)Muxiang,betel nut,morning glory seed,and plum kernel;(2)Fructus Aurantii and Fructus Cannabis;(3)Rhubarb,mirabilite,and green skin;(4)Licorice and Angelica sinensis.According to the statistical results of medication patterns,the top 5drug combinations in frequency are: Muxiang,Betel nut;Rhubarb,Fructus Aurantii;Rhubarb,woody fragrance;Rhubarb,betel nut;Rhubarb,Yu Liren.Among them,there are two representative new formulas:(1)Qingpi,Yuli Ren,Licorice,and Muxiang;(2)Qianghuo,Betel nut,Muxiang,Morning glory seed,Almond,Houpu.3.Results of medication patterns for treating constipation during the Yuan and Ming dynastiesFactor analysis results:(1)Scutellaria baicalensis,Gardenia jasminoides,Talcum,Forsythia suspensa;(2)Angelica sinensis,raw Rehmannia glutinosa,and cooked Rehmannia glutinosa;(3)Fructus aurantii,betel nut,and wood fragrance;(4)Licorice,ginseng,and Atractylodes macrocephala;(5)Fangfeng and Qianghuo;(6)Huo Ma Ren and Yu Li Ren;(7)Rhubarb,morning glory,tangerine peel.According to the statistical results of medication patterns,the top 5 drug combinations in frequency are: rhubarb and trifoliate orange;Angelica sinensis,rhubarb;Radix Rehmanniae,Angelica sinensis;Danggui,Huoma Ren;Peach kernel,Angelica sinensis.Among them,there are two representative new formulas:(1)Chuanxiong,Danggui,Baishao,Taoren,Cimicifuga,and Rehmannia glutinosa;(2)Licorice,Magnolia officinalis,ginseng,and white peony.4.Results of medication patterns in the treatment of constipation during the Qing Dynasty and modern timesFactor analysis results:(1)Muxiang,morning glory,Xiangfu,betel nut;(2)Rhubarb,licorice,Scutellaria baicalensis,Scutellaria baicalensis,Gardenia jasminoides,and Phellodendron amurense;(3)Fructus Aurantii and Fructus Cannabis;(4)Angelica sinensis,peach kernel,safflower;(5)Cistanche deserticola,Rehmannia glutinosa,Ox knee.According to the statistical results of medication patterns,the top 5 drug combinations in frequency are:rhubarb and trifoliate orange;Angelica sinensis,rhubarb;Radix Rehmanniae,Angelica sinensis;Danggui,Huoma Ren;Peach kernel,Angelica sinensis.Among them,there are two representative new formulas:(1)Rehmannia glutinosa,Cistanche deserticola,Rhubarb,Scutellaria baicalensis,and Gardenia jasminoides;(2)Huangbai,Huanglian,Gardenia,morning glory,gypsum.Conclusion:1.The medication patterns for treating constipation in different historical periods have their own characteristics.2.During the Han and Song dynasties,the treatment of constipation was mainly based on laxatives and qi regulating drugs.During this period,the majority of constipation was diagnosed based on syndrome differentiation and treatment,followed by the deficiency of qi and blood yin and yang,forming a disease mechanism system with qi stagnation as the main factor and qi and blood yin and yang deficiency as the auxiliary factor.This laid a theoretical foundation for the treatment of constipation in later generations.During the Yuan and Ming dynasties,there was new progress in the understanding of constipation.On the basis of the former,emphasis was placed on the use of tonifying drugs,and doctors recognized the role of qi in the prevention and treatment of constipation.The treatment theory of constipation was further developed.During the Qing Dynasty and modern times,there has been a new change in the understanding of constipation.Although the use of tonifying herbs is still the top priority,the use of heat clearing herbs has gradually increased,indicating that the pathogenesis of constipation during this period was mainly due to deficiency of qi,blood,yin,and yang,and the pathogenesis of internal dryness and heat accumulation cannot be ignored.Throughout history,medical practitioners have mainly used laxatives,qi regulating drugs,warm internal medicine,heat clearing drugs,and tonifying drugs to treat constipation,which is consistent with the pathogenesis of constipation caused by qi stagnation,cold coagulation,heat accumulation,and deficiency of qi,blood,yin,and yang leading to intestinal conduction disorders.
