| Objective To evaluate the clinical effect and advantage of oblique round edge needle combined with cervical oblique manipulation by observing and comparing the curative effects of oblique round blade needle combined with cervical oblique manipulation and needle acupuncture with cervical oblique manipulation in the treatment of radiculopathy of cervical spondylosis,and provide a new idea and method for the treatment of this disease.Methods Eighty patients with radiculopathy of cervical spondylosis met the inclusion criteria were divided into 2 groups: observation group(oblique round edge needle combined with cervical oblique manipulation)and control group(needle acupuncture with cervical oblique manipulation)(n=40,repectively).Oblique round edge needle therapy in common entrapment points in cervical spine local fascia focal points and brachial plexus pathwas was used to the patients in observation group,who were treated once every other day.It was a total of 5 treatments.And oblique manipulation of the cervical spine was used to the small joint disorder after each treatments.The main points of Cervical Jiaji point,Fengchi point and so on was used to the patients in control group,and acupoints were selected according to the distance of numbness radiation.After receiving qi,The needle was left for 20 minutes,who were treated once a day.It was a total of 10 treatments.The same with oblique manipulation of the cervical spine was used to the small joint disorder treatment once every other day.It was a total of 5 treatments.Patients were instructed to avoid fatigue and cold during the treatment,and functional exercise was performed after pain relief.Patients were followed up for recurrence 3 months later.McGill’s pain score,Yasuhashi Tanaka’s Cervical spondylosis Symptom Scale score,ROM score and recurrence before and after treatment were recorded,and the data were statistically analyzed,the clinical effect were evaluated.Results1.PPI,VAS,PRI and McGill scores of the two groups after treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment(P<0.01).The PPI score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group after treatment(P<0.05).The total scores of VAS,PRI and McGill were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.01).2.The scores of all items on the quantitative table of cervical spondylosis symptoms of Yasuhsu Tanaka in the two groups were significantly improved after treatment(P<0.01).The physical signs,hand function score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group after treatment(P<0.05).The total scores of Yasuhsu Tanaka,symptoms,living and working ability were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.01).3.The ROM scores of the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment(P<0.05).The ROM score of observation group was significantly lower than that of control group.The difference was significant between the two groups(P<0.01).4.The total effective rate of observation group(92.5%)was higher than that of control group(80.0%)after treatment.The difference was statistically significant between the two groups(P<0.01).5.The recurrence rate in the treatment group(8.1%)was lower than that in the control group(28.1%).The difference was statistically significant between the two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion1.The clinical symptoms,signs and cervical dysfunction of patients with radiculotic cervical spondylosis can be improved by oblique round edge acupuncture combined with cervical oblique-manipulation and needle acupuncture.2.The oblique round blade needle combined with cervical oblique manipulation has significant clinical efficacy,which is superior to the needle acupuncture in improving patients’ pain,numbness,working and living ability,cervical spine dysfunction and other aspects.3.The treatment of cervical radiculopathy with oblique-round needle combined with cervical oblique manipulation has short course of treatment,quick effect and low recurrence rate,which is worth popularizing and applying. |
