| Objective:In this study, buccal acupuncture combined with conventional acupuncture therapy was used to treat patients with lumbar disc herniation of blood stasis type, and its efficacy was evaluated by observing the degree of pain relief, lumbar vertebral range of motion and improvement of lumbar function in patients to provide a new idea for clinical treatment of patients with lumbar disc herniation of blood stasis type. Methods:In this study,80 patients with lumbar disc herniation of blood stasis type who met the inclusion criteria were divided into control group and treatment group by random number table, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional acupuncture, the treatment group was treated with buccal acupuncture combined with conventional acupuncture, and the control group and the treatment group were treated once a day for 5 consecutive days, rested for 2 days,10 times as a course of treatment, and the efficacy was assessed after a course of treatment.Visual analogue scale(VAS)score,Japanese Orthopaedic Association scores(JOA)score and lumbar range of motion were recorded before and after each treatment in both groups, and the efficacy was analyzed and evaluated.Results:1.Before treatment, there was no significant difference in general data,VAS score,JOA score and lumbar range of motion between the two groups(P > 0.05),indicating that the baseline characteristics of the two groups were comparable.2.VAS score: The VAS scores of patients in both groups showed a gradually decreasing trend after each treatment, and the VAS scores were decreased compared with those before the initial treatment(P < 0.05),indicating that both treatment methods could effectively reduce the VAS scores of patients.Comparing the VAS scores at the same time point after each treatment between groups, the VAS scores at each time point in the treatment group were better than those in the control group(P < 0.05),indicating that buccal acupuncture combined with conventional acupuncture therapy has advantages in reducing the VAS scores of patients compared with conventional acupuncture therapy;buccal acupuncture combined with conventional acupuncture therapy has better immediate analgesic efficacy than conventional acupuncture therapy.3.JOA score: After the total course of treatment, the JOA score of the two groups was increased compared with that before the initial treatment,JOA score(P<0.05),indicating that both treatment methods could effectively improve the JOA score of the patients;after the total course of treatment, the JOA score of the treatment group was increased compared with the control group(P<0.05),indicating that buccal acupuncture combined with conventional acupuncture therapy was superior to conventional acupuncture therapy in improving the JOA score of the patients.4.Lumbar range of motion: After the total course of treatment, the lumbar flexion, extension, left flexion, right flexion, left rotation and right rotation angles of the two groups were increased compared with those before the initial treatment, indicating that both treatment methods could effectively improve the lumbar flexion, extension, left flexion, left rotation and right rotation angles of the two groups;after the total course of treatment, the lumbar flexion, extension, left flexion, right flexion, left rotation and right rotation angles of the treatment group were greater than those of the control group(P < 0.05),indicating that buccal acupuncture combined with conventional acupuncture therapy was superior to conventional acupuncture therapy in improving the lumbar movement angles of the two groups.5.Clinical efficacy: In the control group, there were 40 effective cases,of which 5 cases were cured,28 cases were improved and 7 cases were not recovered, with a cure rate of12.50% and an effective rate of 82.50%;in the treatment group, after 1 case was removed, the effective cases were 39 cases,of which 11 cases were cured,26 cases were improved and 2cases were not recovered, with a cure rate of 28.20% and an effective rate of 94.87%.The effective rate of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05),indicating that the clinical efficacy of buccal acupuncture combined with conventional acupuncture was better than that of conventional acupuncture therapy.Conclusions:1.Buccal acupuncture combined with conventional acupuncture therapy has a significant effect on lumbar disc herniation of blood stasis type, which can effectively relieve the symptoms of low back and leg pain, improve the activities of lumbar flexion, extension, lateral flexion and rotation in all directions, and improve lumbar function.2.Buccal acupuncture combined with conventional acupuncture is superior to conventional acupuncture in reducing VAS score, increasing JOA score, improving lumbar range of motion and lumbar function in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation of blood stasis type.3.Buccal acupuncture combined with conventional acupuncture has better immediate analgesic effect than conventional acupuncture. |
