Professor Liu Jianqiu’s Clinical Experience And Medication Law In Treating Chronic Asthmatic Bronchitis

Objective:The purpose of this study is to collect the cases of Professor Liu Jianqiu’s treatment of upper airway cough syndrome and use the "Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance Assistance Platform(V3.0)" system to analyze Professor Liu Jianqiu’s medication patterns in the treatment of upper airway cough syndrome,summarize his clinical experience,and provide reference basis for the use of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of this disease.Methods:We collected the outpatient medical records of patients with chronic asthmatic bronchitis who were treated by Professor Liu Jianqiu at the Respiratory Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2020 to June 2022,screened the complete medical record information of patients who met the inclusion criteria,and sequentially entered the patient’s name,gender,age,symptoms,and first diagnosis prescription into the Chinese Medicine Heritage Assistance Platform(V3.0).Moreover,we apply the Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance Assistance Platform(V3.0)to statistically analyze the frequency,nature,taste,and meridian tropism of traditional Chinese medicine used in cases.At the same time,we use the formula analysis function to conduct rule analysis and cluster analysis on the composition rules of drugs,and count the traditional Chinese medicine with a frequency of≥ 60 times as a high-frequency commonly used drug.Results:A total of 154 patient prescriptions were included in this study,of which 83 were female,mostly aged over 40 years old;71 males,aged 50-70 years old.There are a total of 6 syndrome types involved,among which the four main syndrome types are phlegm dampness accumulation in the lung(24.68%),phlegm heat stagnation in the lung(24.03%),lung qi stagnation(19.44%),and dryness heat injury in the lung(12.99%).A total of 116 traditional Chinese medicines were used 2346 times.The properties of the drugs used are mainly warm,cold,and calm;The medicinal taste is mainly bitter,sweet,and spicy.The efficacy is mainly manifested in resolving phlegm,relieving cough,relieving asthma,relieving external symptoms,tonifying deficiency,clearing heat,and regulating qi.The 14 drugs with the highest frequency of application are Pinellia ternata,Almond,Licorice,Platycodon grandiflorum,Pori a cocos,tangerine peel,Ginkgo biloba,Fritillaria,Aster,Earthworm,Lonicera japonica,Perilla leaf,Cicada molting,and Burdock.After drug clustering,four new clustering formulas were obtained:1.Pinellia ternata,bitter almond,aster,licorice,winter flower,and ginkgo biloba;2.Mulberry bark,Pinellia ternata,bitter almonds,perilla leaves,burdock seeds,cicada molting;3.Poria cocos,ginkgo,tangerine peel,bupleurum,licorice,pinellia ternata;4.Mulberry leaves,bitter almonds,platycodon grandiflorus,licorice,Poria cocos,and Fritillaria.Conclusions:1.The study found that chronic asthmatic bronchitis had 6 types of delayed migration,including phlegm dampness accumulated in the lung,phlegm heat accumulated in the lung,lung qi stagnation,dry heat injured the lung,exterior cold and interior heat,and exterior cold and interior fluid retention,of which the first 4 were common types.2.Our research has found that the main efficacy of prolonged medication in the treatment of chronic asthmatic bronchitis is to dissipate phlegm,relieve cough,relieve asthma,relieve external symptoms,replenish deficiency,clear heat,and manage symptoms.In order to achieve a synergistic therapeutic effect,antipyretic,antiasthmatic,or qi regulating effects are often used with antipyretic drugs.3.ProfessorWhen Professor Liu treats chronic asthmatic bronchitis with delayed progression,the drugs mainly focus on the lung meridian,followed by the spleen,stomach,and heart meridians.His medication properties are mainly cold,warm,and mild drugs,with the main flavors being bitter,sweet,and pungent.4.When Professor Liu treats chronic asthmatic bronchitis with delayed progression,the drugs mainly focus on the lung meridian,followed by the spleen,stomach,and heart meridians.His medication properties are mainly cold,warm,and mild drugs,with the main flavors being bitter,sweet,and pungent.5.Professor Liu focuses on resolving phlegm,relieving cough,and relieving asthma in the treatment of chronic asthmatic bronchitis.According to different syndrome types,he adopts the methods of eliminating phlegm,relieving asthma,clearing heat,resolving phlegm,regulating qi,opening depression,and nourishing yin and moistening dryness for symptomatic treatment.At the same time,appropriate use of tonifying drugs to prevent evil from damaging the right.
