Objective: To compare the clinical effects of the acupuncture therapy,needle-knife loosening technique, silver needle conduction therapy in the treatment of myofascial pain syndrome. Methods: From October 2021 to August 2022,young male patients with myofascial pain syndrome in General Hospital of Xinjiang Military Area Command were randomly divided into three groups. Each group was treated with acupuncture therapy,needle-knife loosening technique, silver needle conduction therapy for two weeks as a course of treatment. Before treatment, after treatment and at follow-up,pain rating index(PRI),visual analogus scale(VAS),Roland-Morris Disability questionnaire(RMDQ),Japanese Orthopaedic Association score(JOA)were recorded. Then the efficacy of the three treatment modalities were compared.Results:1.After treatment and at follow-up,the PRI,VAS,RMDQ,JOA scores were improved with statistically significant difference(P<0.001).2.PRI and VAS scores: After treatment and at follow-up,needle-knife group and silver needle group were better than acupuncture therapy group(P<0.05),and there was no significant difference between needle-knife group and silver needle group(P>0.05).3.RMDQ and JOA scores:After treatment,needle-knife group and silver needle group were better than acupuncture therapy group(P<0.05).At follow-up,silver needle group and needle-knife group were better than acupuncture therapy group(P < 0.05),silver needle group was better than needle-knife group(P<0.05).4.Improvement rate:After treatment and at follow-up,silver needle group and needle-knife group were better than acupuncture therapy group(P < 0.05),there was no significant difference between needle-knife group and silver needle group(P>0.05).5.Curative effect: After treatment and at follow-up,silver needle group and needle-knife group were better than acupuncture therapy group(P<0.05),silver needle group was better than needle-knife group(P<0.05).Conclusion: In the overall efficacy of myofascial pain syndrome,needle-knife loosening technique and silver needle conduction therapy are superior to acupuncture therapy. In the efficacy of follow-up,silver needle conduction therapy is significantly better than the needle-knife loosening technique.
