Objective: To observe the clinical effect of silver needle heat conduction therapy and conventional acupuncture in the treatment of myofascial pain syndrome of wind cold obstruction type.To compare the effectiveness of silver needle heat conduction therapy and conventional acupuncture in improving the Visual analogue score and Oswestry disability index of myofascial pain syndrome of wind cold obstruction type.In order to provide a theoretical basis for the optimization of clinical treatment plan of myofascial pain syndrome of wind cold obstruction type. Methods: From November 2018 to November 2019,patients with myofascial pain syndrome were selected from the outpatient department of acupuncture and massage, rehabilitation pain in Qinghai Hospital of traditional Chinese medicine.According to the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria,55 patients with myofascial pain syndrome of wind cold obstruction type were collected.According to the order of patients' treatment, they were divided into silver needle heat conduction therapy group and conventional acupuncture group, which were 28 silver needle heat conduction therapy group and 27 conventional acupuncture group. The principle of acupoint selection was the same in the two groups: the tenderness point was selected in the lesion site.Compare the effective rate, visual analogue score and Oswestry disability index of the two groups at the same time point before and after treatment. Results: In the course of treatment, one case in the silver needle heat conduction therapy group and two cases in the conventional acupuncture group dropped.Totally 52 cases were included in the statistical analysis,27 cases in the silver needle heat conduction therapy group and 25 cases in the conventional acupuncture group. The age, gender, course of disease and severity of disease in silver needle group and conventional acupuncture group were not statistically significant and comparable.Comparison within the group: the VAS scores of silver needle group and conventional acupuncture group were statistically significant(P<0.001)compared with that before treatment, and the VAS scores of silver needle group after two courses of treatment were statistically significant(P<0.05)compared with that after one course of treatment. The difference of ODI score in silver needle group after two courses of treatment was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in ODI score of the general acupuncture group before and after treatment(P>0.05).Comparison among groups:there was no significant difference in VAS score and ODI score between silver needle group and conventional acupuncture group after one course(P>0.05).There was significant difference in VAS score and ODI score between silver needle group and conventional acupuncture group after two courses(P<0.05).The total effective rate of silver needle group was 96.29%,and that of conventional acupuncture group was 96.00%.There was no statistical significance between the two groups(P>0.05).There were no adverse events in silver needle group and conventional acupuncture group. Conclusions: Both conventional acupuncture therapy and silver needle heat therapy can effectively improve the pain symptoms and functional activity of patients with rheumatoid arthralgia syndrome, which has a good therapeutic effect on this disease and also has a significant effect on improving the quality of life of patients.Silver needle heat conduction therapy has a significant effect on the treatment of myofascial pain syndrome of wind cold obstruction type, and has the same effect or even better effect than ordinary acupuncture.
