Objective:In this study, ankle pump exercise was used to treat chronic lower limb venous edema, and the influence of ankle pump exercise on lower limb circumference value of patients with chronic lower limb venous edema, skin surface temperature at different points of lower limb, clinical venous severity and quality of life was observed by infrared thermal imaging technology,so as to provide theoretical support for clinical treatment. Methods:In this study, convenience sampling method was used to select70 patients with chronic lower limb venous edema who were hospitalized in the peripheral vascular disease department of a third-class A TCM hospital in Heilongjiang Province from January2022 to August 2022 as research objects.According to the random number table method, the research objects were divided into the control group and the experimental group,35 cases in each group. The control group was given routine drug treatment, nursing guidance and rehabilitation exercise; The experimental group was given conventional drug therapy, nursing guidance and ankle pump exercise.General data questionnaire, lower extremity circumference measurement scale, infrared thermal imaging technology were used to test the skin surface temperature of lower extremity at different points, venous clinical severity score(VCSS scale),chronic venous insufficiency quality of Life questionnaire(CIVIQ scale)as research tools. Before intervention and 14 days after intervention, the lower extremity circumdiameter scale, skin surface thermometer at different points of lower extremity detected by infrared thermal imaging technology, venous clinical severity score(VCSS scale),and Quality of Life questionnaire for chronic venous insufficiency(CIVIQ scale)were evaluated in the two groups, and the differences between the two groups were compared.Results:1.Before intervention, the general information of age, sex, family residence and occupation distribution of patients with chronic venous edema of lower limbs were compared between the two groups, and the results showed that there was no statistical significance in the comparison of general information between the two groups(P>0.05),which was comparable.2.Before intervention, there was no statistical significance in various data of lower limb circumference between the two groups(P>0.05),indicating comparability. After exercise intervention,intra-group comparison between the two groups showed statistically significant differences in each dimension of lower extremity circumference table(P<0.05).Between the two groups of patients, the dorsum of foot, lateral malleolus, upper margin of patella and10 cm below patella had statistical significance in four circumference values(P<0.05),but there was no statistical significance in the circumference values of 10 cm above patella(P>0.05).3.Before intervention, infrared thermal imaging technology was applied to detect skin surface temperature at different points of lower limbs and comparative analysis was conducted, and there was no statistical significance in each dimension(P>0.05),indicating comparability. After exercise intervention,intra-group comparison between the two groups showed statistically significant differences in each dimension(P<0.05).Compared between the two groups, the temperature of the calf, dorsum of the foot, toe and dorsum of the foot decreased significantly, with statistical significance in each dimension(P<0.05),while the temperature of the thigh had no statistical significance(P>0.05).4.Before intervention, there was no statistical significance in the total score of VCSS scale and scores of each dimension between the two groups(P>0.05),indicating comparability. After exercise intervention,intra-group comparison between the two groups showed statistically significant differences in the total score of VCSS scale and scores of each dimension(P<0.05).Between the two groups of patients, the total score of the VCSS scale and scores of each dimension were statistically significant(P<0.05).5.Before intervention, there was no significant difference in CIVIQ scale scores between the two groups(P>0.05),indicating comparability. After exercise intervention, the difference of CIVIQ scale score between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Between the two groups,CIVIQ scale score difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Ankle pump exercise can effectively reduce the diameter dimension of the lower leg in patients with chronic venous edema of lower limb, promote the regression of lower limb edema, and reduce blood deposition in lower limb.2.Ankle pump exercise can reduce the severity of lower limb veins in patients with chronic lower limb venous edema, and improve various symptoms caused by the disease, such as painful swelling, pigmentation, and induration.3.Ankle pump exercise can improve the quality of life of patients with chronic lower limb venous edema, relieve the pain caused by the disease, and benefit patients’ mental health, which has clinical significance.
