Objective:The observation of patients after total knee arthroplasty, of lower limb continued swelling patients are examined, and given for treatment, based on the observation and statistics to discuss after total knee arthroplasty of lower limb lymphedema occurrence probability and characteristics, to provide the reference for the clinical diagnosis and treatment.Method: For the January July 2014 to 2015 period in Shandong University of traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated Hospital of Department of Orthopaedics; pedestrian knee arthroplasty patients were clinical observation, for two weeks after the operation still exist in the lower limb swelling, pain, or is no obvious swelling but self-reported have heavy feeling or pain of patients of lower extremity Doppler ultrasound examination, on the diagnosis of patients with lower limb lymphedema related information were recorded and calculated the probability of its occurrence, discussion and analysis of the patients in gender and age have no characteristics, and using statistical methods to explore the probability and body mass index correlation, and given the active treatment. Results: Was observed in patients with a total of 60 cases, postoperative lymphedema of the lower extremities in patients with a total of 4 cases, all female patients, aged: 59, 62, 73, 77, calculation after total knee arthroplasty secondary lymphedema of the lower extremities probability about 6.67%. After statistical analysis, secondary lymphedema incidence with patients with body mass index showed a certain correlation; after the active treatment for limb swelling decrease, the disease has been improved more rapidly or recovered. Conclusion: After TKA probability of secondary lymphedema of the lower extremities although not high, but still need to cause enough attention; patients in gender and age did not show obvious characteristics; in contrast, obese patients are more likely to secondary; diagnosis early and timely given the treatment, the curative effect is remarkable.
