Objective:By observing and comparing the clinical efficacy of cassia twig and ephedra combined with governor vessel moxibustion in the treatment of the urticaria with wind cold tract phenotype. We evaluated the clinical efficacy and safety of cassia twig and ephedra combined with governor vessel moxibustion in the treatment of the urticaria with wind cold tract phenotype, and provided a new reference for clinical treatment of the urticaria with wind cold tract phenotype. Methods:With 40 patients in each group, the 80 patients with the urticaria with wind-cold tract phenotype who eventually passed the study’s inclusion criteria were split into observation group and control group using the random number table approach. The observation group was treated with cassia twig and ephedra combined with governor vessel moxibustion, while the control group was treated with Ebastine orally, with 2weeks as a course of treatment and 3 consecutive courses of treatment.Follow-up was conducted at the 2nd and 4th weeks after the treatment.Record the data of the enrolled patients before treatment,at the end of each course of treatment and at 2 visits in detail. The recorded data includes Symptom and sign score,7-day urticaria activity score,Dermatology life quality index and Hamilton anxiety scale. Before and after treatment, the serum immunoglobulin E level, blood routine, urine routine, liver function and renal function of the patients were measured, and the therapeutic effect, recurrence rate and safety of the observation group and the treatment group were evaluated.Result:1.Total efficiency:The total effective rate of the observation group was 94.87%,with 8 cases cured,25 cases with apparent efficacy,4 cases effective and 2 cases ineffective;the total effective rate of the control group was 83.78%,with 2 cases cured,20 cases with apparent efficacy,9 cases effective and 6 cases ineffective, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that cassia twig and ephedra combined with governor vessel moxibustion was better than oral Ibastine in the treatment of wind-cold addiction rash. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that the combination of cassia twig and ephedra and governor vessel moxibustion was superior to oral Ebastine in terms of therapeutic effect.2.Recurrence rate:In the observation group, the recurrence rate was 5.13%two weeks after the end of therapy and 12.82%four weeks later;in the control group, the recurrence rate was 21.62%two weeks after the end of treatment and 32.43%four weeks later.According to the chi-square test,2 weeks after treatmentx~2=4.520,P=0.044<0.05,the difference was statistically significant;Four weeks after treatment,x~2=4.206,P=0.040<0.05,the difference was statistically significant. It shows that cassia twig and ephedra combined with governor vessel moxibustion is superior to oral Ebastine in delaying the recurrence of the urticaria with wind cold tract phenotype.3.Safety:No significant adverse reactions were observed during the treatment process in both groups, and the results of laboratory tests showed no significant abnormalities in the routine blood, urine, liver and kidney functions after the completion of treatment, suggesting that both treatments are reliably safe. Conclusion:Compared with oral Ebastine, cassia twig and ephedra combined with governor vessel moxibustion has more advantages in the treatment of the urticaria with wind cold tract phenotype, which can reduce the activity of urticaria, improve the quality of life, relieve anxiety and depression, control the onset of symptoms, delay the recurrence, and has higher safety.
