| Objective: To compare the gait kinematics and kinetics of adolescent scoliosis patients with those of normal adolescents, and to find out the difference of gait characteristics in adolescent scoliosis patients. Methods: 20 adolescent scoliosis patients(aged 10-17)and 20 normal adolescents(aged 10-17)were selected as subjects.Walk naturally on the force-measuring table and complete three effective walking movements.Kinematics data such as time distance parameters, rotation angle of pelvis and dynamic range of hip, knee, ankle, shoulder and elbow joints shall be collected by Quintic motion image capture system.Meanwhile,Footscan ? force-measuring plate supporting software FOOTSCAN SOFTWARE 7.0 shall be used to analyze the following five indicators:(1)Maximum peak pressure experienced by each section of the sole;(2)Contact area of each section of the sole during natural walking with the ground;(3)Mean peak pressure experienced by each section of the sole;(4)Phase of the left and right foot support period;and(5)Changes in the center line of plantar pressure.Results:(1)The walking speed of adolescent patients with scoliosis is significantly lower than that of normal adolescents;(2)The angle of the hip joint on the tip of foot of adolescent patients with scoliosis is significantly larger than that of normal adolescents;the maximum flexion angle of the knee joint support phase of adolescent patients with scoliosis is significantly larger than that of normal adolescents;the maximum flexion angle of the ankle joint support phase of adolescent patients with scoliosis is significantly larger than that of normal adolescents;the adolescent patients with scoliosis are proved to have greater flexion of the hip, flexion of the knee and ankle dorsal flexion;and(3)The adolescent patients with scoliosis have an imbalance of the left and right legs in terms of the maximum peak plantar pressure, plantar pressure and plantar contact area, which is mainly manifested in that the support of the convex side legs on the ground is significantly larger than that of the concave side legs;and the adolescent patients with scoliosis shift the center of gravity to the concave side during walking;and(4)Compared with the normal adolescents, there is no significant statistical difference in the rotatory angle, dynamic range of the shoulder and the left and right support phases.Conclusion:(1)The walking speed of adolescent scoliosis is lower than that of normal adolescent.(2)Scoliosis affects the range of motion of the adolescent hip, knee and ankle, thereby affecting body stability.(3)Adolescent scoliosis patients have weaker body control and stability than normal adolescents when walking, and the convex lateral leg supports the ground more than the concave lateral leg, with the risk of hallux valgus. |
