Objective:To explore the risk factors of colon polyps and provide relevant reference for the prevention of colon cancer development. Methods:A total of 500 patients who underwent colonoscopy and hematology at the same time from June 2020 to June 2022 in the Department of Gastroenterology of the Affiliated Hospital of Yan’an University were collected, and a total of 321 patients were enrolled according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,of which 167 patients with colonoscopy results of polyps were the case group and 154 with normal colonoscopy results were the control group. The clinical data of the two groups were collected, and the risk factors of colon polyps were analyzed by multi-factor logistic regression, and the predictive value of each risk factor was assessed by plotting ROC curves on the relevant quantitative data.Reults:Univariate analysis showed that patients in both groups had gender(X2 =25.552,P = 0.000),smoking(X2 = 6.775,P = 0.009),history of diabetes(X2 = 5.640,P =0.018),family history(X2 = 7.170,P = 0.007),colonic melanosis(X2 = 5.715,P = 0.017)total cholesterol levels(t =-5.957,P = 0.000),triglyceride levels(Z =-5.573,P = 0.000),LDL levels(t =-3.799,P = 0.000),BMI(t =-4.628,P = 0.000),and age(t =-4.230,P =0.000)were statistically significant differences(P < 0.05).Multi-factor logistic analysis showed that the results were gender(OR = 3.754,95% CI 2.114-6.666),age(OR = 1.036,95% CI 1.013-1.059),BMI(OR = 1.107,95% CI 1.008-1.216),smoking history(OR =1.988,95% CI 1.149-3.440),total cholesterol TC(OR = 2.089,95% CI 1.478-2.952),triglycerides(OR = 2.420,95% CI 1.555-3.767),colonic melanosis(OR = 1.812,95% CI1.026-3.197),and family history(OR = 1.789,95% CI 1.002-3.193)were as independent risk factors for colonic polyps(P < 0.05).OR values in descending order were gender(3.754),triglycerides(2.420),total cholesterol(2.089),smoking history(1.988),colonic melanosis(1.812)family history(1.789),BMI(1.107),and age(1.036).ROC curve: AUC(area under the curve): age(AUC = 0.633),BMI(AUC = 0.646),total cholesterol(AUC= 0.678),triglycerides(AUC = 0.680).Conclusion: Sex,age,BMI,smoking history, total cholesterol, triglycerides, colonic melanosis, and family history were independent risk factors for colon polyps, and age,BMI,total cholesterol, and triglycerides could be used as reference indicators to predict colon polyps.
