Abstract/Summary:
Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy and advantages of the Long Sha Kai Wu Six Qi Acupuncture Method in treating vertigo of liver-depression and spleen-deficiency type(posterior circulation ischemic vertigo)in accordance with the theory of five movements and six qi and the climatic characteristics of heaven and man. Methods:We separated 88 subjects with retrocirculatory allodynia into two medical groups, all of whom met the relevant inclusion criteria.88 patients with TCM diagnosis of hepatic depression and splenetic deficiency type of vertigo were the hepatic depression and splenetic deficiency group, while patients with non-hepatic depression and splenetic deficiency type of vertigo were the control group.both groups were treated with betahistine mesylate tablets 6mg Tid combined with Long Sha open and close six qi acupuncture method on the western basic disease treatment, and the selected acupuncture sites in both groups were Gu’s open and close pivot diagram of the head in the sympathetic yin After 14 days,we observed the changes in the TCM symptom scores,Hanhua vertigo symptom scale scores, vertigo disorder scale scores and serum homocysteine levels before and after treatment in both groups.Results:(1)Total clinical efficiency of the two groups: with medical treatment,18 cases in the Hepatic depression and Spleen deficiency group were cured,15 showed efficacy,5 worked and 2 were invalid, the total working effective rate was 95%;in the control group,14 examples were healed,15 examples were apparently effective,6 examples were effective, and 5 examples were invalid, with a global working efficiency of 87.5%,the general working of the Hepatic depression and Spleen deficiency group was greater than that of the controls(P < 0.05),which was showed to be significant with statistical value.(2)Chinese medicine syndrome points comparison: without medical treatment, the Chinese medicine syndrome points of the liver-depression and spleen-deficiency study class(64.70±15.01)and the treament group(65.10±16.33)were not significantly different in two classes(P>0.05);upon therapy, the syndrome points of both groups decreased, and the syndrome points of the liver-depression and spleen-deficiency study group(7.75±6.18)decreased significantly more than those of the control group(10.65±7.34),and the discrepancy was found to be a statistical meaningful difference(P<0.05).(3)Comparative VSS-C scale scores: There were no markedlly different between the two groups, which the VSS-C scale without treatment, the liver-depression and spleen-deficiency group(62.85±12.18)and the non-treatment set(62.55±11.74)(P > 0.05);following treatment, the VSS-C scale scores of both groups were lower than before treatment, the liver-depression and spleen-deficiency group(16.53 ± 10.83)dropped significantly,in contrast to the control group(19.90 ± 11.60),the variation was statistically significant P<0.05).(4)Prior to treatment, the DHI scale scores of the liver-depression and spleen-deficiency group were(64.70±15.03)and those of the treatment group were(65.10±16.34)b.There is no obvious variation between the two groups previously(P>0.05).(10.65±7.34 points),and the gap was obviously higher than that of the non-treatment group(P<0.05).(5)The Hcy values of the two groups were compared: before treatment, the Hcy value of the liver-depression and spleen-deficiency group was(16.34± 6.68)ug/L and that of the control group was(16.33 ± 5.15)ug/L,with no statistical difference(P > 0.05);Post-treatment Hcy values of both groups dropped compared with those in the pre-treatment period, and the Hcy level of the liver-depression and spleen-deficiency group decreased [(9.39 ± 1.45)ug/L] compared with that of the non-treatment group(9.77(±1.26)ug/L was significant, and the difference between the two groups was found to be Statistical significance(P < 0.05).(6)Comparative vertigo relief time between the two groups:comparing the patients’ vertigo relief time in the two sets, duration of vertigo relief in the liver-depression and spleen-deficiency group(5.13±1.64)hours was significantly less than that in thenon-treatment group(8.50±2.85)hours,the discrepancy was statistically meaningful(P<0.05).Conclusions:(1)The clinical efficacy of Long Sha Kai He Liu Qi acupuncture method in treating syncope(posterior circulation ischemic vertigo)of liver-depression and spleen-deficiency type is clear, and the degree of improvement of the efficacy observation indexes such as TCM evidence score,VSS-C scale score,DHI score,Hcy value, and time to dizziness relief in the liver-depression and spleen-deficiency group more superior than that of thenon-treatment group.(2)The Long Sha Open and Close Six Qi Acupuncture Method is followed the theoretical basis of based of "five movements and six qi",which follows the five movements and six qi doctrine, responds to the changes of time and space and seasons, can adjust the functions of the body as a whole, improve the clinical symptoms of patients and improve their quality of life quickly, and has the characteristics of "simple, convenient, effective and cheap"."It is worth promoting in clinical practice.
