| Objective:By investigating the willingness and attitude of the elderly in Yangzhou as well as their cognition and demand for the combination of TCM medicine and nursing care,the influencing factors of the elderly in Yangzhou on the choice of nursing care and the demand for the combination of TCM medicine and nursing care service were analyzed,the main problems existing in the development of the combination of TCM medicine and nursing care service were discussed,and targeted countermeasures and suggestions for the development of the combination of TCM and nursing care service in Yangzhou were proposed based on the concept of active aging.It provides reference basis for promoting the development of TCM medical care combination and constructing the service system of TCM medical care combination for the elderly in line with the characteristics of Yangzhou City.Methods:By using cluster sampling method,the Hanjiang District and Guangling District of Yangzhou City Hanjiang District three communities(Lotus Pool Community,Lidian Town,Wenchang community)were selected.The questionnaire was designed and the elderly over 60 years old in the three communities were investigated.SPSS 26.0 was used for univariate analysis and binary Logistic regression analysis to analyze the factors influencing the elderly population’s demand for TCM to participate in the combination of medical and nursing services.Results:A total of 1589 questionnaires were issued and 1500 valid questionnaires were collected.Among them,the ratio of male to female is 1: 1.5,the age of the survey subjects is mainly concentrated on between 60-69 years old,68.4% of junior high school education or below,63.1% of the elderly live with their spouse,more than one child,accounting for 65%,71.7% of the elderly population has chronic diseases,suffering from two or more chronic diseases accounted for 45.1%;69.2% of the elderly population had medical insurance for urban workers and 28.9% had medical insurance for urban and rural residents.69% of the elderly population chose TCM institutions for medical treatment.The main reasons for choosing TCM institutions are that TCM is suitable for chronic diseases and has low toxic and side effects.59.7% of the elderly think that TCM treatment has good effects,88.2% think that TCM treatment charges are moderate,and only 12.4% of the elderly population think that TCM services are reimbursed by medical insurance.It can reduce the economic burden,and most of the remaining elderly people do not know the reimbursement situation of TCM medical insurance;90.6% chose home-based and community nursing care as the preferred way of nursing care.The main reasons for the reluctance to turn to nursing care institutions were their ability to support the elderly and their backward ideas.Most of the elderly do not know the knowledge of the combination of medical and nursing care(67%).After the popularization of the knowledge of the combination of medical and nursing care,77% of the elderly explicitly support the development of the combination of medical and nursing care.Conclusion:The elderly in Yangzhou mainly care for the aged at home or in the community.They have low demand and choice intention for the combination of TCM medicine and care,and low awareness of the combination of TCM medicine and care.Age,need for care,choice of TCM,attitude towards the combination of TCM and TCM,and convenience of TCM institutions are the main factors affecting the elderly demand for TCM and TCM combined services.In order to promote the healthy development of TCM combined medical care and elderly care service,it is suggested to focus on the key elderly population and formulate targeted policies for the combination of medical care and elderly care.Strengthen policy support to promote the development of TCM medical care;Adhere to the orientation of fairness and justice,optimize the balanced allocation of TCM service resources;Increase the investment of human resources and financial resources,and improve the ability of TCM medical and nursing services;Strengthen the supervision of TCM industry and create a regional environment for TCM medical care;Starting from six aspects,such as enriching the publicity methods and media,improving the public’s awareness of the combination of TCM and TCM,and promoting the deep integration of TCM and TCM,it will be more conducive to the establishment of TCM and TCM combined old-age service system in line with the characteristics of Yangzhou City,giving play to the characteristics and advantages of TCM in the combination of TCM and TCM,and promoting active aging. |
