Objective:Based on the team’s previous study, the aim of this project was to observe the clinical efficacy of auricular integrative therapy in the treatment of menstrual migraine with blood stasis and blood blockage,to analyze and evaluate the possibility of clinical application of this method, and to explore its mechanism of action,so as to provide a safe and efficient treatment option for the treatment of menstrual migraine. Methods:According to the method of random assignment,68 patients who met the criteria were divided into an observation group(comprehensive auricular acupuncture therapy)and a control group(ordinary acupuncture therapy),34 patients each. The headache index, pain visual analog score, headache patients’quality of life score and serum estradiol and 5hydroxytryptamine levels were recorded and compared between the two groups before and after 1 course of treatment.Results:1.Clinical efficacy:The total effective rate was 96.77%in the observation group and 87.50%in the control group, with significant differences(P<0.05),indicating that auricular integrative therapy was more effective than common acupuncture therapy in terms of overall clinical efficacy.2.Headache index and pain visual analogue score(VAS):The headache index and VAS scores of patients in both groups decreased after the treatment course(P<0.05).The headache index and VAS scores decreased in both groups after the treatment course(P<0.05),and the scores in the observation group were lower(P<0.05),indicating that both general acupuncture and auricular integrative therapy were effective in reducing the degree of headache in menstrual migraine patients, and the auricular integrative group was more effective than the general acupuncture group.3.Quality of life questionnaire for headache patients:the total score of quality of life questionnaire for headache patients increased in both groups after 1 course of treatment(P<0.05),and the score was higher in the observation group after treatment(P<0.05);the individual scores(functional limitation, functional impairment and emotional impairment)were higher in the observation group than in the control group after treatment(P<0.05).This indicates that for the quality of life of menstrual migraine patients, both therapy groups were effective, but the efficacy of the otolaryngology group was better than that of the general acupuncture group.4.Serum E2 and 5-HT:The levels of E2 and 5-HT in both groups were higher than those before treatment after one course of treatment(P<0.05),and the levels in the observation group were higher after treatment(P<0.05),indicating that both treatments increased the levels of E2 and 5-HT in patients, and the efficacy of the otolaryngology group was better than that of the general acupuncture group.and the efficacy of the auricular integrative group was better than that of the general acupuncture group. Conclusion:The efficacy of auricular integrative therapy in the treatment of menstrual migraine with blood stasis and blood blockage is precise and significantly better than that of the general acupuncture group, and it has better efficacy in relieving headache intensity, reducing the number of attacks, improving patients’ quality of life and relieving their tension. The present study suggests and tentatively speculates that the therapeutic purpose is achieved by increasing serum E2 and 5-HT levels in patients with menstrual migraine.
