| Objectives:1.Revised the original Chinese Version of the Nursing Research Self-Efficacy Scale in terms of language,content and other problems,and further verified its reliability and validity in clinical nurses,so as to improve the performance and applicability of the Chinese Version of the Nursing Research Self-Efficacy Scale.2.The status of nursing research self-efficacy of clinical nurses was investigated by using the Revised Version of the Chinese Version of Nursing Research Self-Efficacy Scale,and the influencing factors of nursing research self-efficacy were analyzed from the individual level and organizational level from the perspective of nursing research capacity,nursing work environment and nurses’perceived organizational support,so as to explore effective ways to improve the nursing research self-efficacy of clinical nurses.Methods:1.Based on the original Chinese Version of the Nursing Research Self-Efficacy Scale,the final version of the Chinese Version of the Nursing Research Self-Efficacy Scale was prepared through re-translation,back translation and cultural adaptation,referring to the Brislin translation-back translation model and strictly following the scale revision principles.With the convenience sampling method,a total of 567 clinical nurses were selected as subjects to test the reliability and validity of the Revised Chinese Version of the Nursing Research Self-Efficacy Scale using the general data questionnaire,the final version of the Chinese Version of the Nursing Research Self-Efficacy Scale and the General Self-Efficacy Scale.SPSS26.0 and Amos22.0 software were used for data analysis.Critical ratio method and correlation coefficient method were used for scale item analysis.Content validity,structure validity and criterion correlation validity were used in the validity analysis.Cronbach’sαcoefficient,retest reliability and split-half reliability were used for reliability analysis.2.A total of 617 clinical nurses were selected as subjects by convenience sampling method.They were investigated by using a general information questionnaire,the Nursing Research Capacity Scale,the Nursing Work Environment Scale,the Organizational Support Scale and the Revised Version of the Chinese Version of Nursing Research Self-Efficacy Scale to understand the status and influencing factors of nursing research self-efficacy of clinical nurses.SPSS26.0 software was used for statistical analysis of data.General information and variable scores were analyzed by descriptive statistics using frequencies,percentages,means,and standard deviations.The effects of different characteristics on nursing research self-efficacy were analyzed by independent samples t test,one-way ANOVA,and multiple linear stepwise regression.Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlations among nursing research capacity,nursing work environment,perceived organizational support and nursing research self-efficacy,and multiple linear stepwise regression analysis was used to analyze the effects of nursing research capacity and perceived organizational support on nursing research self-efficacy.Results:1.The results of item analysis showed that the critical value of each item was13.946～31.325(P<0.001),and the correlation coefficient between the score of each item and the total score of the scale was 0.534～0.778(P<0.001).The scale-level content validity index was was 0.98,and the item-level content validity index was 0.93～1;Five common factors were extracted from exploratory factor analysis,and the cumulative variance contribution rate was 71.638%.Confirmatory factor analysis showed that the model fit well,χ~2/df=1.219(P<0.05),RMSEA=0.028,RMR=0.054,GFI=0.875,CFI=0.982,IFI=0.983,TLI=0.981;The scale criterion correlation validity is good.The Cronbach’sαcoefficient of the scale was 0.963 for the total,0.902～0.966 for each dimension,and 0.976 for the total split-half coefficient,0.900～0.963 for each dimension,and 0.957 for the retest reliability.2.A total of 2 dimensions and 31 items were revised in the Revised Version of the Chinese Version of Nursing Research Self-Efficacy Scale.The revision problems mainly involve five types of problems:inaccurate translation of scale items,inconsistent with China’s national conditions,inaccurate and incomplete semantic expression,inaccurate wording and redundant language expression After the revision,the scale finally maintained the original Chinese Version of the Nursing Research Self-Efficacy scale with 38 items in 5dimensions.3.After the preliminary application,the total score of nursing research self-efficacy of clinical nurses was(106.16±30.57)points,and the average item score was(2.79±0.80)points.The scores of the five dimensions from low to high were as follows:critically read and evaluate qualitative research literature(2.44±0.91),critically read and evaluate quantitative research literature(2.65±0.99),understanding and applying theory(2.81±1.03),obtaining science-based knowledge resources(2.91±1.09)and collective research efficacy(3.04±1.06).4.Pearson correlation analysis showed that nursing research capacity was moderately positively correlated with nursing research self-efficacy(r=0.533,P<0.001),and nurses’perceived organizational support was moderately positively correlated with nursing research self-efficacy(r=0.549,P<0.001).The results of one-way ANOVA showed that educational level,hospital level,professional title,time to read literature,published papers and whether to host or participate in scientific research projects had significant effects on nursing research self-efficacy of clinical nurses,with statistical significance(P<0.05,P<0.001).Multiple linear stepwise regression analysis showed that 55.6%of the total variation in nursing research self-efficacy could be explained by education level,professional title,published papers,whether to host or participate in scientific research projects,nursing research capacity and perceived organizational support(P<0.01,P<0.001).Conclusions:1.The Revised Chinese Version of Nursing Research Self-Efficacy Scale has good reliability and validity,clear semantics and strong logic,and can be used to evaluate the level of clinical nurses’research self-efficacy.2.The nursing research self-efficacy of clinical nurses is at a medium low level and needs to be further improved.Educational level,professional title,published papers,whether to host or participate in scientific research projects,nursing research capacity and perceived organizational support are important predictors of nursing research self-efficacy of clinical nurses. |
