Abstract/Summary:
Objective: By comparing the clinical efficacy of intravascular angiogenesis inhibitor(recombinant human endostatin injection)plus intravenous infusion of albumin-binding paclitaxel combined with cisplatin chemotherapy and combined oral Jiaomugualou Decoction in the treatment of malignant pleural effusion in patients with thoracolumbar non-small cell lung cancer, the potential value of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of malignant pleural effusion was explored. Methods: A total of 60 patients with non-small cell lung cancer complicated with malignant pleural effusion who met the diagnosis, inclusion and exclusion criteria in Weifang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2022 to December 2022 were collected and randomly divided into 2 groups with 30 patients in each group. Before treatment, pleural effusion was drained by pleural puncture and catheterization(meeting a few criteria),and the level of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)was detected by double-antibody sandwich enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Control group was routinely given pleural infusion of recombinant human endostatin injection, combined with intravenous infusion of albumin-binding paclitaxel and cisplatin chemotherapy.Observation group was additionally given oral administration of Jiaomugualou Decoction on the basis of control group.3 weeks later, the experiment was completed and the efficacy was evaluated. After treatment, the reduction of pleural effusion, the efficacy of TCM syndrome, the score of quality of life(KPS),the level of VEGF in pleural effusion and the toxic and side effects were evaluated. Results: Before treatment, there were no statistical differences between the two groups in gender, age, location of effusion, pathological classification, severity of disease and various evaluation indexes of efficacy,so a randomized controlled trial could be conducted. After treatment, statistical studies found that the reduction of pleural effusion,TCM syndrome score,KPS score and VEGF level in pleural effusion in the observation group were better than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant.Compared with the incidence of toxic and side effects in the two groups after treatment, the control group was slightly higher than the observation group, but there was no statistical difference. Conclusion: Jiaomugualou Decoction can inhibit the progression of malignant pleural effusion by inhibiting the production of VEGF,improve the clinical syndromes of traditional Chinese medicine, improve the quality of life of patients, and has good drug safety.
