Purpose:To observe the efficacy and safety of the Bridge Combined Fixation system(BCFs)and Locking plate(LP)in the treatment of tibial shaft fracture.Statistical analysis and comparison were made on the surgical method book and postoperative observation indexes of the two groups.The discussion focused on the benefits and drawbacks of utilizing a combined approach to treat fractures of the tibial shaft,which involves both a bridging technique and internal fixation system,in order to provide reference for clinicians in the treatment of tibial shaft fracture.Methods:Patients who underwent BCFs and LP surgery in Jinan Central Hospital from June 2021 to December 2022 were retrospectively analyzed.A total of 41 patients with tibial fractures.were included,including 17 patients with BCFs and 24 patients with LP.The statistical analysis indexes included age,gender,affected side,time from injury to surgery(H)and preoperative hemoglobin value(g/L).The operation time(min),intraoperative blood loss(ml)postoperative hemoglobin decrease and complications were collected during the perioperative period.Subsequent follow-up were conducted at intervals of 1 month,3 months,6 months and 12 months after post-operation,respectively,to record the fracture healing time of patients.The excellent and good rate of patients’ recovery was evaluated according to Johner-Wruh scoring standard.The above indicators were statistically analyzed,and the measurement data were expressed by x s,and t test was adopted;χ2 test was used for counting data;P<0.05 is statistically significant.Results:(1)The operation was completed successfully by all 41 patients.There were no notable differences in the general data before the operation for both groups(P≥0.05).(2)The average operation time of the BCFs group was(126.83±26.22v)min,which was significantly shorter than that of the LP group(141.43±20.36),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(3)There was no notable contrast observed in the amount of blood lost and postoperative hemoglobin reduction,postoperative complications,postoperative hospitalization timeduring the surgical procedure between the two groups(P≥0.05).(4)In terms of surgical efficacy,there was no significant difference between the two groups according to the Johner-Wruh scoring standard at 1 month,3 months and 12 months after operation(P≥0.05).The average fracture healing time of BCFs group was(11.31±1.6)week,which was significantly shorter than that of LP group(13.04±2.2)week(P<0.05).Conclusion:(1)BCFs and LP in the treatment of tibial fractures have the characteristics of definite effect,high safety,and few complications.(2)BCFs have advantages,both have similar short-term efficacy after surgery,and both may become an effective alternative to transurethral resection of the prostate.
