Opportunities And Challenges Of Traditional Chinese Medicine Development In Municipal General Hospitals Under The Background Of Integration In Yangtze River Delta

Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)is a treasure that has been refined by countless doctors for thousands years,and made great contributions to Chinese nation in disease prevention and treatment.However,with the introduction of western medicine,the dominant position of TCM in China has been gradually weakened.As the core force of health care in China,general hospitals have rich medical resources and gather nearly half of Chinese medicine practitioners in our country.They played very important roles in the development of TCM,the maintenance of people’s health and the realization of the healthy China strategy.The municipal general hospitals located in the developed areas of the Yangtze River Delta shoulder the important responsibilities of carrying out primary medical care,implementing higher-level decision-making,and improving people’s health and living standards.Meanwhile,the policy environment,competition environment,internal factors and so on,which have different degrees of influence on the development of TCM,are also a miniature of the development of TCM in today’s society.Through the literature review,data collection,interview questions,social investigation,sum up a variety of ways,such as multi-level and multi-angle comprehensive analysis of the Yangtze river delta integration under the background of the current situation of the development of Chinese medicine,municipal general hospital overall combing its advantages,opportunities,the development of the difficulties and risks,their own clear positioning,anchor the development direction,It also provides a "breaking" plan and ideas for the development of TCM in municipal general hospitals,and broadens the research Angle in this field,in order to provide a basis and reference for the policy-making of higher administrative departments.This study is divided into six parts,the first part mainly includes the research background,domestic and foreign research status,research purpose and significance.The second part introduces the content,method,innovation of the research.The third part adopts the typical sampling method,through the interview and data collection of three municipal general hospitals in Zhejiang Province in the Yangtze River Delta region,to understand and find out the current development status of TCM in municipal general hospitals.Based on the questionnaire,the fourth part makes an in-depth analysis from the perspectives of TCM practitioners in municipal general hospitals and public patients,and analyzes "the expectations of practitioners and the needs of public patients".The fifth part is to summarize the advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and risks of TCM development in municipal general hospitals under the background of Yangtze River Delta integration based on the previous research results and SWOT analysis.In these sixth parts,specific countermeasures and suggestions are put forward from the perspectives of management operation guarantee,talent introduction,talent cultivation and talent retention,advantage field play,brand innovation,national tide cultural opportunity and publicity mode innovation.The research shows that the current discipline of TCM in municipal general hospitals in the Yangtze River Delta is shrinking and marginalized to a certain extent,with insufficient attention,and a certain imbalanced development compared with the overall hospital.However,in the context of the integration of the Yangtze River Delta,there are opportunities,foundations and necessities for the development of TCM based on its own advantages.It is the expectation of the Party,the State and the management department,the expectation of practitioners of TCM,and also is the common demand of the general public.Focusing on the coordination of TCM and western medicine,we can comprehensively improve the hospital’s TCM service ability and the core competitiveness of combining TCM and Western medicine from the aspects of management and operation guarantee,attracting and nurturing talents to retain talents,highlighting the advantageous diseases,creating innovative brands,developing the national style culture,and innovating publicity methods.
