With the quick industrialization and urbanization since reform and opening-up, an increasing number of migrant workers have been flooding into cities to seek jobs, turning the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta into the major destinations of the migrant population. Various issues concerning migrant workers are drawing ever more attention from researchers. While mainly focusing on the living situation of the migrant workers, such as their income, jobs, working environment and social security, previous researches seldom probe into the mental heath of the migrant workers, and the mental health is a new direction of the social security and social services system needs to pay attention to. The female migrant workers should be paid more attention because of gender. This study, with data collected through questionnaire, analyzes and compares female migrant workers in the Yangtze River Delta with those in the Pearl River Delta in terms of their mental heath. The958subjects are from12factories in Shanghai, Kunshan, Shenzhen and Dongguan. The finding shows that the mental health of the female migrant workers is far from optimistic and that female migrant workers in the Yangtze River Delta have comparatively better mental health than those in the Pearl River Delta. Future data analysis reveals that the metal health of the female peasant workers can be attributed to social support effect, pressure effect, resilience effect and residence effect. In accordance, this paper presents several measures to build the prevention and intervention system, improve the social service of social support, and perfect the social security with a view to promoting the mental health of female migrant workers, and those in the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta in particular, especially exploring how to integrate mental health prevention into the labor rights protection system, how to take Severe mental health because of work as "caused injury", how to bring Mental health services into the medical insurance.
