Abstract/Summary:
Objective: To investigate the efficacy and safety of blade needle therapy for fast-track recovery after laparoscopic radical resection of colorectal cancer. Methods: A prospective clinical study was conducted to include patients who visited the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery of the Affiliated Hospital of Guilin Medical University from March 2020 to October 2021 and completed laparoscopic radical resection of colorectal cancer. They were divided into the conventional treatment group and blade needle treatment group.Preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative intervention measures were performed in the conventional treatment group according to the ERAS protocol. On the basis of the treatment in the conventional group, the cutting needle was added to the lower points of both lower limbs and the abdominal tomb area, which was performed on the first day after surgery, and once a day until the patient was discharged.General baseline data such as age, gender,BMI,ASA grade, tumor location, tumor stage, tumor differentiation, operation time, and intraoperative blood loss were recorded and compared between the two groups. The outcome measures were postoperative hospital stay, postoperative first anus exhaust time, first defecation time, bowel sound recovery time, incidence of postoperative complications, incidence of nausea and vomiting, abdominal distension rating, pain score, electrogastrography amplitude and frequency changes. The collected data were processed and plotted into statistical charts using the statistical software SPSS24.0 and Graph Pad Prism 8.Results: A total of 156 patients were included in the study.According to the exclusion and dropout criteria,141 patients were finally included, including 71 patients in the blade needle treatment group and 70 patients in the conventional treatment group.General baseline data showed that there was no statistical difference in age, gender,BMI,ASA grade, tumor location, tumor stage, tumor differentiation, operation time, and intraoperative blood loss between the two groups(P>0.05).The observation indicators showed that compared with the conventional treatment group, the blade needle treatment group had shorter postoperative first exhaust time, postoperative first defecation time, bowel sound recovery time and hospital stay, and the differences had statistical significance;the postoperative abdominal distension rating, pain score, incidence rate of nausea and vomiting were also reduced, and the differences had statistical significance;the amplitude and frequency of electrogastrography had significant changes after treatment, and the differences had statistical significance;the incidence rate of postoperative complications had no statistical significance(P>0.05).Conclusion: On the basis of the concept of enhanced recovery after surgery, blade needle therapy can shorten the recovery time of gastrointestinal function and hospital stay, relieve postoperative abdominal distension, abdominal pain and nausea and vomiting in patients after laparoscopic radical resection of colorectal cancer, with certain clinical efficacy and safety, accelerate postoperative rehabilitation and improve the quality of life of patients.
