| Objective: To observe the intervention and control effect of Yiqi Wenyang method on children with low myopia of the heart-yang deficiency type, the feasibility and effectiveness of this method in the intervention and control of this disease were investigated, providing reference for the prevention and control of low myopia in children by Chinese medicine. Methods: A total of 64 children(128 eyes)with low-grade myopia with heart-yang deficiency were collected who were admitted to the ophthalmology clinic of the First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from October 2020 to August2021 and complied the inclusion and exclusion standard of this research. The patients were randomly divided into two groups after numbering according to the order of treatment. There were 32 cases(64 eyes)in the experimental group and the control group. The control group was given health education plus wearing single-focus frame glasses for correction, while the experimental group was given Yiqi Wenyang Decoction on the basis of the control group. The changes of uncorrected distance visual acuity, diopter and axial length of the two groups of patients before intervention, after 2 courses of intervention, and after 4 courses of intervention,as well as the changes of TCM syndrome scores before intervention and after 4 courses of intervention, were recorded.SPSS23.0 was applied. The software performs statistical analysis on the collated data.Result:(1)Comparison results of baseline data: The two groups were compared before intervention in age, gender, uncorrected distance visual acuity, diopter, ocular axis and TCM syndrome score were no statistical significance(P>0.05),the data are comparable.(2)Comparison results of uncorrected distance visual acuity: The two groups overall comparison was statistically significant in uncorrected distance visual acuity of before and after the intervention(P<0.05).There were statistically significant differences in uncorrected distance visual acuity between the two groups after 2 courses of intervention, after 4 courses of intervention and before intervention(P < 0.05).There were statistically significant differences between the two groups in uncorrected distance visual acuity after 2 courses of intervention and4 courses of intervention(P < 0.05).(3)Comparison results of diopter: The two groups overall comparison was statistically significant in diopter of before and after the intervention(P<0.05).There were statistically significant differences in diopter between the two groups after 2 courses of intervention, after 4 courses of intervention and before intervention(P < 0.05).After 2courses of intervention, there was no statistically significant in diopter(P>0.05).After 4 courses of intervention, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(4)Comparison results of the ocular axis: The two groups overall comparison was statistically significant in ocular axis of before and after the intervention(P<0.05).There were statistically significant differences in ocular axis between the two groups after 2 courses of intervention, after 4 courses of intervention and before intervention(P < 0.05).There were statistically significant differences between the two groups in ocular axis after 2 courses of intervention and 4 courses of intervention(P < 0.05).(5)Comparison results of TCM syndrome scores: The two groups comparison was statistically significant in TCM syndrome scores of before and after the intervention by rank sum test(P<0.05).After the intervention, the intervention effect of TCM syndrome score in the experimental group was better(P < 0.05).(6)Comparison results of overall intervention effect: The overall intervention effect of the experimental group was better(P<0.05).Conclusion:(1)The Yiqi Wenyang method can improve uncorrected distance vision of children with low-grade myopia with heart-yang deficiency in a short period of intervention, and can slow down the rate of diopter progression, but it cannot control the progression of the ocular axis.(2)The Yiqi Wenyang method can effectively improve the ocular symptoms and systemic symptoms of children with low-grade myopia with insufficient heart yang, and has a positive effect on the prevention and control of children’s myopia. |
