Objective:To investigate the genetic association between serum chemokine 12(CXCL12)gene rs501120 and large atherosclerotic type(LAA)and small artery occlusive cerebral infarction(SAA).Methods:IS group: 160 patients with ischemic stroke.Control group: 233 healthy subjects matched by age and sex.Extract the subject’s genomic DNA,and the rs501120 was genotyped by PCR.Results:In the distribution of rs501120 genotype and allele C and T,there was significant difference between IS group and control group(P < 0.01)[IS group: OR=1.480,95%CI1.480(1.111,1.973),P=0.009;LAA group: OR=1.683,95%CI(1.198,2.364),P=0.003].After correcting traditional risk factors,Logistic regression analysis was used to correct the relevant risk factors:rs501120 CC [OR=0.297,95%CI(0.125,0.706),P=0.006] and CT [OR=0.228,95%CI(0.122,90.424),P < 0.001] were significantly correlated with the occurrence of IS.Male with coronary heart disease,Hypertension, hyperlipidemia,as well as smoking and drinking are also risk factors of IS.Interaction analysis of gene-traditional factors showed that rs501120 had interaction with hypertension and smoking history, which may increase the risk of IS.Conclusion:Rs501120 locus of CXCL12 gene may be a high-risk factor to increase the risk of ischemic stroke in the elderly of Chinese Han nationality.
