With the development of the field of gene, human study of complex traits and common diseases from simple genome research deep into theanalysis of genomewide studies.Single nucleotide polymorphisms(SN P) plays animportant role in these studies.SN P is one of the most common genetic variation, and it is widely distributed in some groups, individual whole genome DN A,about every 1000 bases appear a SN P.Because of the wide distribution, relatively stable genetic, has important influence on the expression of gene and the structural of proteins, the study of whole-genome SN P has been applied to biology, genetics, and many other fields.Complex disease such as Diabetes、Hypertension and Coronary have mystified us all the time.Because 99% of the human gene is very similar to that of mice, scientists use mice to study the effects of complex traits. This paper estimated the heritability of four characters associated with complex diseases, such as:Diabetes、Hypertension、Coronary, using 288 N M RI rats phenotypic value 、genotype of SN P,the mixed linear model and the Analysis-of-variance estimator to estimate the heritability of HDL、CHL、T RI、GLU.In order to select the useful chromosomes and SN P loci,we use the method of stepwise regression and the minor allele frequency(M AF).The results show that by the method of stepwise regression andM AF variable selection, the frequency of causal variants are coincident with SN P s(M AF < 0.1).
