Objective:To observe the correlation between the duration of disease and the levels of serum endogenous orphanin FQ(N/OFQ)and P-selectin in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)complicated with coronary heart disease(CHD),and to explore its significance.Methods:130 inpatients with type 2 diabetes who underwent coronary angiography were divided into groups according to the severity of coronary artery in patients with T2 DM complicated with coronary heart disease. The results of coronary angiography were quantitatively scored according to Gensini score.Gensini score < 26 was classified as mild group(n= 38),Gensini score 26-54 was classified as moderate group(n=52),and Gensini score > 54 was classified as severe group(n=40).The clinical data were collected. The changes of serum N/OFQ and P-selectin levels were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The risk factors of increased coronary artery severity in patients with T2 DM were analyzed by ordered logistic regression. The correlation between the course of disease and N/OFQ and P-selectin was analyzed under the severity of coronary artery in each group. Results:After adjusting for age, sex, hypertension, smoking,BMI and the use of hypoglycemic drugs, compared with the mild group, the duration of disease,P-selectin and N/OFQ increased in the moderate and severe groups(P<0.001).Compared with the moderate group, the duration of disease,P-selectin and N/OFQ increased in the severe group(P < 0.001).In the same group of coronary artery severity,Spearman correlation analysis showed that the duration of diabetes was strongly correlated with N/OFQ and P-selectin.Conclusion:N/OFQ and P-selectin increased with the severity of coronary artery disease in patients with type 2 diabetes.Under the same coronary artery severity, the duration of type 2 diabetes was positively correlated with N/OFQ and P-selectin(P < 0.05).
