| ObjectiveTo explore the clinical efficacy of Xugu Huoxue Decoction combined with a combined external fixator for the postoperative rehabilitation of patella fractures,and explore a simpler,convenient and effective method for the treatment of patella fractures and provide new ideas for its clinical treatment.MethodsThe subjects were 84 patients with patellar fracture who were hospitalized in the Department of orthopedics and traumatology,people’s Hospital Affiliated to Fujian University of traditional Chinese medicine from December 2020 to November 2021.A total of 84 patients with patellar fractures who met the diagnostic and inclusion criteria of this study were divided into two groups by random number table.All patients in both groups were given detailed preoperative examination,detailed medical history was consulted,body was carefully checked,and VAS scores,knee swelling degree and the results of the lateral knee radiograph were recorded in detail.In the control group,42 cases were treated with combined external fixator combined with conventional non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs(loxoprofen sodium tablets)for analgesia and early functional exercise after operation.In the experimental group,42 patients were treated with Xugu Huoxue Decoction on the basic treatment of the control group.The Xugu Huoxue Decoction was started on postoperative day 1 and continued for 6 weeks.The two treatments were analyzed and compared with respect to scores of pain index,degree of swelling,clinical healing times,and scoring of knee function.SPSS20.0 software was used to perform statistical analysis for all data.Results1.Before treatment,there were no statistically significant differences in gender,age,fracture classification,VAS score,the degree of knee swelling between the two groups(P>0.05),which suggested comparable.2.VAS scores: the VAS scores of two,six,and twelve weeks after operation were compared within groups,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05),and the pain of two groups after treatment was improved compared with before.The comparison between groups can be seen that the test group decreased more significantly than the control group(P < 0.05),and the test group had better efficacy in relieving pain than the control group.3.The degree of knee joint swelling: the intra group contrast of knee joint swelling degree scores at 2 weeks,6 weeks,12 weeks after operation indicated that the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05),knee joint swelling in both groups after treatment improved compared with that before.Comparison between groups the visible test group was superior to the control group(P< 0.05),and the test group had better efficacy than the control group in eliminating swelling.4.Clinical healing time: the comparison of healing time in the two groups underwent t test that showed a significant difference(P<0.05),which indicated the formula used in the experimental group had the effect of promoting fracture healing.5.Functional score of the knee: the data of the functional score of the two groups’ knees at 6,12,and 24 weeks after operation were evaluated by Mann-Whitney U test,which was significant at P < 0.05,indicating that the regimen of treatment in the test group had an advantage in the postoperative rehabilitation of knee function compared with the control group.ConclusionsThe clinical efficacy of Xugu Huoxue Decoction with combined external fixator in the treatment of patellar fracture was significant.It has more advantages compared with traditional postoperative treatments such as simple anti-inflammatory,analgesic,functional exercise.It can improve the pain and swelling degree of patients earlier and the function of the knee joint,accelerate postoperative rehabilitation,and prompt patients to recover the mobility of the affected limb earlier. |
