The Clinical Effect Of Yiqi Huoxue Runchang Decoction On Constipation In Convalescent Period Of Ischemic Stroke With Qi Deficiency And Blood Stasis

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Yiqi Huoxue Runchang Decoction on stroke complicated with constipation.Methods:60 outpatients and inpatients,suffering from ischemic stroke with the standard characteristics of qi deficiency Blood stasis,who were collected from Department of Neurology of Chiping Peoples’ Hospital,were divided into two groups on average.The treatment group were treated with Yiqi Huoxue Runchang Decoction,the control group with bifidobacterium triple viable capsules.The clinical effects,before treatment,4-week treatment,8-week treatment were assessed based on the standards of TCM,NIHSS,ADL,Constipation symptom,using the statistical and analytical method of SPSS20.0Results:(1)At the end of the assessment,29 patients in treatment group and 29 patients in control group finished the entire process,without observation of untoward effect happening.(2)Positive effects were observed in both groups after 4-week and 8-week treatment,but the score from treatment group was higher than that from control group.(P<0.05)(3)In details(the former,treatment group;the latter,the control group):efficiency(86.2%vs 69.0%,P<0.01),Constipation relief(93.1%vs 72.4%,P<0.05).Conclusion:For the patients of ischemic stroke with the characteristics of qi deficiency and blood stasis after basic western medical therapy,compared with the treatment of bifidobacterium triple viable capsules,the treatment of Yiqi Huoxue Runchang Decoction after basic was identified to deliver better results in the aspects of efficiency and safety,reducing the scores of TCM,NIHSS,constipation symptoms dramatically,increasing the score of ADL.Thus this treatment is worth to be popularized clinically.
