A Formula Study On The Treatment Of Pulmonary Diseases In Paediatrics With SheMa Combination

Objective:She Ma combination is an in-hospital preparation of our hospital,which consists of the addition and subtraction of Shegan Mahuang Tang and is currently on record with the Drug Administration.In this paper,through reviewing the ancient and modern literature in China,we conducted a literature study on Shengan Mahuang Tang and summarized the experience of various medical practitioners in using Shengan Mahuang Tang,and compared the similarities and differences with the ideas of She Ma combination.Then,through collecting cases in which Professor Li Weiwei used She Ma combination in his outpatient clinic,we summarized the contents of the formula of She Ma combination,so as to make the scriptural formula consistent with the physiopathological characteristics of children and infantilize the scriptural formula.Methods:With the help of a search tool,the collected literature was divided into four parts according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria:medical treatises,medical cases,clinical observations and experimental studies,to conduct a literature study on the formulae of Shegan Ma Huang Tang;then the cases collected from September 2019 to July 2021 that were seen in Professor Li Weiwei’s clinic and used She Ma combination were refined through retrospective studies,frequency statistics,correlation analysis and cluster analysis,including etiology and pathogenesis,indications,main diseases,timing of use and evidence of use,etc.Results:Prescriptions for She Ma combination:(1)Indications for Injection:(1)Core symptoms:cough,phlegm,nasal congestion,runny nose,passable urine,passable stool,sleep at night,no fever,no throat ringing.(2)Secondary symptoms:nocturnal cough,poor nasal function,acceptable nasal function,average nasal function,average night sleep,no runny nose,no nasal congestion,no sputum.(3)Core signs:coarse breath sounds in both lungs,red throat,enlarged tonsils,shortness of breath,white coating,pale tongue.(4)Secondary signs:phlegm sounds,dry rales,thick moss,pale red tongue,no asthma,no enlargement of tonsils.(2)Etiological mechanism of She Ma combination:wind and phlegm offending the lung,wind isolated and blocked by phlegm.(3)The main types of symptoms treated by She Ma Combination:wind and phlegm.(4)Effects of She Ma combination:Expelling the symptoms of the lung,resolving phlegm and calming asthma.(5)Chinese medicine ailments that are treated by She Ma Combination:cough,pneumonia and wheezing,asthma,congested nose.(6)Western medicine diseases that can be treated with She Ma Combination:Bronchitis,acute upper respiratory tract infection,wheezing bronchitis,tracheitis,bronchopneumonia,upper airway cough syndrome,adenoid hypertrophy,neonatal pneumonia,bronchial asthma.Conclusion:1.Characteristics of infantilisation of She Ma combination:(1)In the treatment of children’s pulmonary diseases,in addition to taking care of the spleen and stomach,it adds drugs to help digest food and dissolve phlegm,making it more suitable for children’s physiopathological characteristics of phlegm production and food stagnation caused by the weakness of the spleen and stomach.(2)Replace Ephedra with Honey Ephedra to make it more suitable for the delicate internal organs of children.2.The main use of She Ma combination is for the treatment of cold conditions,the main type of symptoms treated is wind-phlegm evidence,the main disease location is the lung,and the disease mechanism is wind-phlegm offending the lung and wind-isolated phlegm obstruction.3.In the treatment of paediatric pulmonary disorders,if a cough with sputum is seen with shortness of breath,dry rales,wet rales,a pale tongue and a white tongue coating,this is supportive evidence for its use of ejecta combination.
