plant polyphenol.Because of its good medical efficacy and physiological activity,tannic acid has been and will be more frequently used in animal production.In this study,the effects of gallnut tannic acid on growth performance,blood biochemical indices and rumen fermentation of Liuyang black goats were studied.Forty-eight Liuyang black goats with the same genetic background,the similar body weight(12±1.6kg)and age(8±1 months)and in good health were randomly divided into 4 groups with 6 replicates per group and 2 goats per replicate,half male and half female.Control treatment(CON)was fed basic diet only.Other three treatments added different doses of gallnut tannic acid on the basis of the basic diet,respectively: 0.3%(Low dose of Tannic acid,LTA),0.6%(Middle dose of Tannic acid,MTA),0.9%(High dose of Tannic acid,HTA).After grouping,the adaptation period lasted for 30 days for goats to adapt to the basic diet.,other 7 days for them to adapt to the experimental diet as prefeeding period.The trial lasted for 90 days.On the morning of day 0,30,60 and 90,all the goats were weighed before feeding.During the 87-90 days,feces and feed samples were collected.Meat samples,blood samples and rumen fluid samples were collected after slaughter when the trial ended.The results are as follows:(1)Gallnut tannic acid had no significant effects on DMI,ADG and FCR of Liuyang black goats(p > 0.05);Compared with CON treatment,the apparent digestibility of CP in TAM treatment and TAH treatment was significantly decreased(p < 0.05),presenting significant linear and quadratic effects(p < 0.05);Gallnut tannic acid had no significant effects on apparent digestibility of DM,OM,EE,NDF and ADF of Liuyang black goats(p >0.05).(2)Gallnut tannic acid had no significant effects on meat p H、color、tenderness、drip loss and water loss of Liuyang black goat(p > 0.05);The cook loss of HAT treatment was significantly lower than that of the other three treatments(p < 0.05),presenting significant liner and quadratic effects(p < 0.05).(3)Gallnut tannic acid had no significant effect on the contents of Total Protein,ALB,AST,BUN,Glu,TCH,LDL,HL,T3,T4,EPI,INS,GC and IGF-2 in blood of Liuyang black goats(p > 0.05).The GLB content in TAL and TAH treatment was significantly lower than that in CON treatment(p < 0.05).The contents of CHE and GR in TAH treatment were significantly lower than those in CON,TAL and TAM treatments(p < 0.05),presenting significant linear and quadratic effects(p < 0.05).ALT in TAM treatment was significantly higher than that in the other three treatments(p < 0.05),presenting a quadratic effect(p < 0.05);The Cr content in TAM and TAH treatments was significantly lower than that in CON and TAL treatments(p < 0.05),presenting significant linear and quadratic effects(p < 0.05).Gallnut tannic acid can significantly increase TG content(p < 0.05),presenting significant linear and quadratic effects(p < 0.05).The HDL content of TAL treatment and TAM treatment was significantly lower than that of CON treatment(p <0.05),presenting a significant quadratic effect(p < 0.05).GH in TAL treatment was significantly lower than that in CON and TAH treatments(p < 0.05),presenting a significant quadratic effect(p < 0.05).CORT content in TAL treatment was significantly higher than that in the other three treatments(p < 0.05).The content of IGF-1 in CON treatment was significantly higher than that in the other three treatments(p < 0.05),presenting a significant secondary effect(p < 0.05).Gallnut tannic acid had no significant effects on the contents of SOD,MDA,Ig A,LBP,TNF-α,IL-2,IL-8,Hpt and IFN-γ in blood of Liuyang black goat(p > 0.05).The T-AOC in TAM treatment was significantly higher than that in CON and TAL treatments(p < 0.05),presenting a significant linear effect(p < 0.05).Gallnut tannic acid had a significant difference in Ig G content(p < 0.05),presenting a significant quadratic effect(p < 0.05);The il-1 β content in TAL treatment and TAH treatment was significantly higher than that in CON treatment,and TAH was significantly lower than that in TAL treatment(p < 0.05).Il-6 in TAL treatment was significantly higher than that in other three treatments(p < 0.05);The content of SAA in TAL treatment and TAM treatment was significantly higher than that in CON treatment(p< 0.05),presenting a significant quadratic effect(p < 0.05).(4)Gallnut tannin supplementation had no significant effect on p H of rumen fluid of Liuyang black goats(p > 0.05);The NH3-N content in TAM and TAH treatments was significantly lower than that in CON treatment(p < 0.05),presenting significant linear and quadratic effects(p < 0.05).T-VFA in TAM and TAH treatments was significantly higher than that in CON and TAL treatments(p < 0.05),presenting significant linear and quadratic effects(p < 0.05).Gallnut tannic acid had no significant effects on the contents of Aceate,Propionate,Isobutyrate,Butyrate,Isovalerate,Aceate/Propionate of total volatile fatty acids in rumen fluid of Liuyang black goat(p > 0.05);The content of Valerate in T-VFA in rumen fluid in TAM
