The experiment by adding different proportion in the diet of mulberry leaves powder was to study on the effect of mulberry powder on growth performance、blood biochemistry、slaughter performance、meat quality of rex rabbits and hu sheep and investigate the appropriate adding amount, and provide reference basis for the development and application of mulberry powder on feed resources.Forty rex rabbits on the same age、similar weight、health without disease were selected and randomly divided into five groups in the experiment, four trial groups and one control group. Each group included eight replicates, each replicate had one sample. Each trial group was fed with based diets with 5%、10%、15%、20% mulberry powder for six weeks, the control group was only fed with based diets. The result showed that the average gain in 20% mulberry powder was significantly decreased(P<0.01); Feed/gain(F/G) in 20% mulberry powder was significantly higher than the control group(P<0.01);Alkaline phosphatase(ALP) in 20% mulberry powder was lower than the control group(P<0.05);Blood usea nitrogen(BUN) in 10% 、20% mulberry powder were significantly decreased(P<0.01) and BUN in 15% mulberry powder was lower than the control group(P<0.05);Creatinine(CREA) in 20% mulberry powder was lower than the control group(P<0.05);Uric acid(UA) in 20% mulberry powder was significantly increased the control group(P<0.05);Creatine kinase(CK) in 10% 、 15% mulberry powder were lower than the control group(P<0.05);Routine blood test、slaughter performance、meat quality and amino acid content of back muscle in trial group had no significant effect(P>0.05).So the study suggested that the appropriate adding amount was 10% below.Forty fattening hu sheep on 2-3 months were randomly allotted into 5 groups, one control group and 4 trial groups. Each group included eight replicates, each replicate had one sample. Each trial group was fed with based diets with 15%、30%、45%、60% mulberry powder for 2 months, the control group was only fed with based diets. The result showed that final weight(FW) in 45%、60% mulberry powder was lower than the control group(P<0.05), and average day gain(ADG) 、 average daily feed intake(ADFI)、feed/gain(F/G) were highly significant difference(P<0.01); Alanine aminotransferase(ALT) in 60% mulberry powder was lower than the control group(P<0.05);AST/ALT(aspartate transaminase/alanine aminotransferase) was significa-ntly higher than thegroup(P<0.01);Lactate dehydrogenase 、 total cholesterol 、triglyceride、high-density lipopr、live weight, compared with the control group, were highly significant difference(P<0.01);Carcass fat content in trial group was significantly decreased(P<0.01);Hip width was significantly higher than the control group and rump length was significantly decreased(P<0.01).Cannon circumference in 15%、30% mulberry powder were significantly higher than 60% mulberry powder(P<0.01);Organ weight、organ index、meat quality in each group also had no significant effect(P>0.05).The study drew that the appropriate adding amount was 30% below.
