In recent years,with the development of social economy,the demand for high-quality agricultural products has been increasing.Vegetable sweet potato is a type of sweet potato variety with good palatability of stems and leaves,which can be used as a leafy vegetable.Due to its green leaves,good taste and flavor,rich nutrition,and unique medical and health functions,it is highly favored by people.As a new type of microbial fertilizer,microbial inoculants have shown a series of advantages in crop cultivation,such as increased yield,improved quality,disease resistance,pollution-free,and low cost.More and more agricultural producers have recognized that selecting appropriate microbial inoculants is an important measure to ensure high yield and quality of crops.In order to promote the efficient and high-quality production of vegetable sweet potato,seven different microbial agents,Bacillus licheniformis(A1),jelly like bacillus(A2),EM bacteria(A3),lateral spore bacillus(A4),compound microbial agent(A5),100 billion bacillus subtilis(A6),200 billion bacillus subtilis(A7),were selected in this experiment to study the growth,development,yield The effects of photosynthetic performance,quality,soil physicochemical properties,and enzyme activity on the selection of the best microbial inoculants suitable for vegetable sweet potatoes lay the foundation for the application of microbial inoculants in vegetable sweet potatoes,aiming to provide a theoretical basis for high-quality cultivation of vegetable sweet potatoes.The main research findings are as follows:1.Microbial agents can increase the plant height,stem diameter,and single leaf area of vegetable sweet potatoes,and increase yield.Among them,EM agents and200 billion Bacillus subtilis have better treatment effects,with significant differences compared to the control.Among them,the yield of vegetable sweet potatoes treated with 200 billion Bacillus subtilis was the highest,increasing by 38.03% compared to the control;The effect of improving the yield of vegetable sweet potatoes by gelled Bacillus subtilis is the worst.2.Microbial agents can improve the photosynthetic performance of vegetable sweet potatoes.200 billion Bacillus subtilis can significantly increase the content of chlorophyll a,chlorophyll b,and chlorophyll a+b in vegetable sweet potatoes,which are 33.64%,84.21%,and 46.90% higher than the control,respectively;The content of chlorophyll a,chlorophyll b,and chlorophyll a+b in vegetable sweet potatoes treated with gelled Bacillus subtilis showed no significant differences compared to the control,resulting in poor results.The application of microbial agents has little effect on carotenoids in vegetable sweet potatoes.3.Microbial agents can improve the quality of vegetable sweet potatoes and enhance their antioxidant capacity.Seven microbial agents can effectively improve the quality of vegetable sweet potatoes and enhance their antioxidant capacity.Among them,EM agents and 200 billion Bacillus subtilis can significantly increase the protein,Vc,soluble sugar,sucrose,and crude fiber content of vegetable sweet potatoes,reduce nitrite content,and increase the content of antioxidant substances such as polyphenols,flavonoids,and anthocyanins;The improvement effect of the quality of vegetable sweet potatoes treated with Bacillus gelatinosus and Bacillus lateralis is poor.4.There are differences in the effects of microbial agents on the mineral nutrients in the leaves,stems,and stems of vegetable sweet potatoes.Among them,the mineral element content was higher under the treatment of 200 billion Bacillus subtilis(A7),while the mineral element content of Bacillus subtilis(A4)was lower.5.Microbial agents can improve the physical and chemical properties of soil and increase soil enzyme activity.The content of organic matter,available phosphorus,alkaline hydrolyzed nitrogen,available potassium,total nitrogen,total phosphorus,and total potassium in the soil treated with microbial inoculants was higher than that of the control.The activity of urease,sucrase,and catalase in the soil was higher than that of the control.Moreover,under the treatment of EM inoculants and 200 billion Bacillus subtilis,the cultivation soil of vegetable sweet potatoes had higher nutrient content and enzyme activity;Under the treatment of Bacillus gelatinosus and Bacillus lateralis,the soil nutrient content was lower and the soil enzyme activity was lower.In summary,in the actual cultivation of vegetable sweet potatoes,the application of EM microbial agents and 200 billion Bacillus subtilis microbial agents has shown good effects in promoting plant growth,improving soil environment,increasing yield,and improving quality.However,the application of gelled Bacillus subtilis microbial agents has not been effective.
