The Wolffahrtia magnifica is the only pathogen that causes Bactrian camels vaginal myiasis. At present, the prevention and control of myiasis mainly relies on pesticides, drug deworming treatment,in addition to killing the maggots in the parasitic site, the Wolffahrtia magnifica in the environment do not play an effect, and after the drug effect, continue to produce maggots and repeated infections. In order to change the current situation of passive control based on pesticides,we need to explore active biological prevention and control measures. The occurrence of the disease is reduced by artificial interference with the Wolffahrtia magnifica to reduce the pathogen’s chance of contact with livestock.Based on this, this experiment determined the antenna potential and behavioral response of black whiskers on three compounds secreted by Wolffahrtia magnifica by gas chromatography-antenna potential combination technology(GC-EAD),antenna potential technology(EAG),behavioral experiments and simulated field trapping experiments, and the effect of Bactrian vaginal volatiles on the luring behavior of Wolffahrtia magnifica. The main experimental results are as follows:(1)The results of the GC-EAD determination showed that the Wolffahrtia magnifica of different ages responded to methaetenone,1-octen-3-ol,and propyl butyrate.(2)EAG results showed that the three compounds had different degrees of EAG reaction. There were significant differences in EAG responses of females to different concentrations of methylheptenone, but no significant differences were observed. There was no significant gender difference in the EAG responses to the same compound, but the EAG responses of females to the three compounds were higher than those of males.(3)Behavioral experiments have shown that all three compounds can cause behavioral reactions in Wolffahrtia magnifica.Methaglylone and 1-octen-3-ol have significant attractiveness to Wolffahrtia magnifica, while propyl butyrate is relatively weakly attractive to Wolffahrtia magnifica. The higher the compound concentration, the more lure it is to the Wolffahrtia magnifica, and the response to the female is greater than that of the male. This study found that the Wolffahrtia magnifica has antenna potential and behavioral responses to all three compounds, and the response to the female Wolffahrtia magnifica in all experiments is greater than that of the male. This study provides a reference for the development of safe, environmentally friendly and effective treatment methods, and to further provide a theoretical basis for the prevention and treatment of the disease. |
